Parking on double yellows. One rule for one.......... on 17:17 - Jan 31 by controversial_jack | The Government has made £15million in the past five years by selling the names and addresses of more than six million motorists to wheel clampers and car park operators. Nearly 70 private firms, including bailiffs, debt collectors, solicitors and finance companies, are allowed access to the database of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency, which holds personal information about Britain's 38million drivers. The fee charged covers the cost of processing the application for information. No profit. Without the fee you and I and all other taxpayers would be paying to give these private companies information. You wouldn't want that would you?

Again not true. Reg 27 allows the Secretary of State for Transport to release info to anyone who can satisfy said Secretary of State that they have reasonable cause for receiving it. Write to the Information Commissioner to ask him if he thinks that breaks the DPA. I can save you the trouble actually - he doesn't. https://ico.org.uk/for-the-public/dvla/ [Post edited 31 Jan 2016 17:34]

Clamping on private land is now illegal, correct, but the police can do it on public roads in certain circumstances. Over and out, for today
