Would love to have Allen back. Between him, Britton and Cork for the 2 central/defensive midfield roles. Better than Ki in recent times and I don't think Liverpool have ever truly appreciated the player they had on their hands - and BR didn't help that with his 'Welsh Xavi' comment.

I agree there is better player for 8 mill, I don't think Allen is worth 8 mill and I don't think he will improve our squad. Just imo. |
I'm talking about Naismith not Joe Allen, Allen would improve Swans squad as he plays in Leon Brittons position and Leon is 34 this year, Allen is in his prime.
We could have done with Sam Byram who plays on the right hand side but it looks like Everton are going to get him, although more importantly we need a goalscorer, somebody with a proven goals to game ratio particularly at the top level if possible. [Post edited 17 Jan 2016 12:32]

Joe Allen coming back would be a massive signing for us.......even if it was just on loan until the end of the season.
If we complimented it with a quality striker who knows where the net is, my confidence levels for survival would increase greatly. |  |

In fairness Naismith pretty much plays in Siggy's position while Allen doesn't. |
...and why do people think Allen will replace Leon? Different types of players - de Guzman replaced Allen then we down graded to Ki. A returning Allen could only function with a Leon next to him, that's why he looked so good in the first place. |  |

Joe Allen is more attack minded than Leon and plays a little further forward. There are similarities, but he is a long way off being a like for like replacement. | | | |
