I used to enjoy him on the radio years ago,when he did 606. Sounded like a normal WBA football fan who would listen to the callers and seem to know what we were all going through following our teams. I didn't mind him at all - I thought he had something warm and friendly about him. There are worse on the box. Part of the reason for his demise must be his off the cuff comment during an England v Poland game, about not annoying Poles because 'I'm having some work done on the house next week'. A totally innocuous and mildly humorous comment that was denounced as 'racist'. Christ on a bike, as they say. Bloody Nora, as they say. WTF? As they say. Racist? To quote the great SuperMac They "cannot be serious'! But they were.

Chiles really hasn't worked on itv (the awful coverage they provide doesn't help, Lee Dixon is utterly wasted on there). Always liked him on the radio though.
