The Official Swansea City v Everton Match Thread. on 14:24 - Sep 23 by Liberty | Using Tremmel in goals makes sense. He hasn't let us down in past cup escapades. Many teams use their 2nd keeper in cup matches, a show of faith, helps match preparation if ever needed in prem game and it would be a long season if never play a single competitive match. |
We'd have won our Europa League group last year if Vorm had played instead of Tremmel.

I wouldn't argue with any of that and if we were playing anyone other than one of the big 7, I'd put Tremmel in but against Everton, I'm just not sure.
The Official Swansea City v Everton Match Thread. on 15:45 - Sep 23 with 2498 views | icecoldjack | The smart thing IMO is to keep certain combinations . Ash and freddy need games together and it will be good prep for sunderland, also keep fab behind them so freddy gets another 90 mins of getting to know his players. Id keep Rangel in to also help and to help with the language and offering an outlet. montero to come in for Routs , dyer to stay with siggy, maybe carroll for ki or shelvey. Gomis for wilf obviously . I think this is a big game for us and a chance to go for a win, i don't think Monk will want to go to sunderland after losing 3 on the bounce and a good cup run is good for confidence, the season is still young so i don't see the need for resting too many players. If we want to do well then we need to play a prefered choice, its not exactly like Everton are a team we normally do well against, another reason for going for a win by the way, lets get the Everton hoodoo off our backs . I think monk will pick a strong team .

Agree. I was about to post the same thing about Ash and Fernandez. They need game time together.

Now let`s stop being silly shall we, Vorm was a liability last year, if there was the slightest chance of getting hurt the guy would sh-t himself and pull out of the challenge.

wed have won the group if we didn't switch off two games in a row in the last minute to concede to last minute goals resulting in 4 dropped points

No, late defensive lapses cost us 1st spot in that group.

Bit of a mish mash team but might well answer a couple of partnership questions for Sunderland perhaps. Bring it on then. lets kick this bogey right back to scouserville.
