On the point from the previous page, re: cover for RWB, I'd put forward the example of Swansea's left back situation in 2012/13. They go into the season with only really Neil Taylor who could play there. He breaks his ankle in the 3rd game of the season and is out for 9 months. Swansea then promote Ben Davies, who didn't have a single first team appearance to his name, and sign Dwight Tiendalli as competition for his place.
I don't think Harriman is anywhere near as good as Davies, but I'd much rather see us give him a go should Simpson get injured than sign someone just for the sake of it. Plus, as we're currently unlikely to fill out our 25 man squad, we can always sign a freebie at some point in the season if Simpson gets injured a la Tiendalli. [Post edited 30 Jul 2014 20:40]
