Oddest Football Club Merch You've Seen (not necessarily R's) 20:25 - Mar 2 with 1057 viewseastside_r

Was out walking today and came across a very odd tribute to one of the local teams. I’m in and from NE London (the clue’s in the username!)

Outside a house I was passing, there was what appeared to be a standard council issue refuge bin emblazoned in claret* and blue with a picture of a beaming Jared Bowen on it.

Not sure whether the entire thing is an official West Ham product or whether the householder had just stuck a poster (or something) on their bin.

Seems strange unless they think he’s rubbish. (He’s not.)

I was wondering what’s the weirdest club merch anyone has come across.

* (I mean its purple really, but you have to humour them.)

not football, but Hamish Hawk at New Century Hall, Manchester last week, the merch table was groaning with usual range of band t-shirts, CDs, vinyl records... and tea-towels.

Rock'n'roll.

Not football..back in the 70's a bloke showed me a souvenir he bought during a trip to France - a flicknife with the word Lourdes stamped on the handle.

Imagine getting a lady (or fella!) back home and pulling an Accrington Stanley love ballon out of the side table.

On my school trip to Calais in the early 1970s, the teachers warned us not to buy flick knives, so we all bought baguettes instead.
