Not at all. They had every right to go into the Donbass to protect ethnic Russians from being persecuted by the neo nazi Ukranian military units, and don't say it didn't happen, because it's well documented.
The US gave assurances that NATO wouldn't expand eastwards, it did 1000 miles and into several countries. Missiles sited pointing against Russia. Ukraine hostile to Russia joining NATO, it wasn't going to be allowed under any circumstances. Real Politik , get with it. |

Putin is not negotiating, why would he. Russia is the main party in all of this and will decide the outcome. The US is not a major player, they have been supplying Ukraine with equipment, which hasn't altered the outcome one bit.
Trump has no leverage whatsoever as everything the US has tried hasn't made any difference. They will not commit troops as Trump has run on an anti war ticket. Putin is playing him like a fish |

They have close to 1 million under arms, 600k would have been disastrous. There is no enforced conscription. They are still getting volunteers. Ukraine has conscription and even press gangs. Their losses are exceeding the replacements. Tell me again, who is negotiating from a position of weakness. I believe Trump has stuck his nose in, but won't let the Ukraine take part. The yanks are throwing Zelensky under the bus and they will desert NATO and run as they do in almost every conflict |
