| Forum Thread | Swansea: Train station to the ground at 21:43 23 Dec 2024
Hi there. Bit of advice needed please. I've only ever driven to Swansea before, but am aiming to go by train on Thursday. Has anyone made the journey from the station to the ground by bus, cab or walk? Just wondering how easy it is before I decide to take the motor as usual. Cheers. |

The land I now reside in was hit hard by the storm last night. I figure I must have been knocked out cold by a falling tree or bolt of lightning. Just woke up, after having the most amazing dream about us destroying Norwich City. It was lovely. |
| Forum Thread | What are we trying to do? at 16:51 6 Oct 2024
I would have to confess to having only a rudimentary knowledge of tactics, so without any impied sarcasm, I wanted to ask, 'What is it that we are trying to set up to do?" I know we have some very informed people on the board, so I would be very interested to hear what our intentions are. From my uninformed position, I am struggling to see our approach and identity. What I see is a scarily empty midfield, exposed defenders, and a lack of edge up front. There were periods in the Hull game that I saw something good shining through. Quick transitions, attacking intent, and the ability to apply real pressure. But beyond that, I just cannot see what the grand plan is. Genuinely interested in what people have to say! |
| Forum Thread | Anyone else getting a bit apprehensive? at 10:50 8 Jul 2023
I am not usually a 'sky is falling in' kind of person, but I am starting to get a feeling of dread about the new season. We've said goodbye to a few players, which is fine, but we seem to be very vulnerable now. No Director of Football to be in place before the start of the season, and yet surely we need to do a lot of recruitment to be anywhere near competitive for next season. Surely this is a crucial phase for having a strategic approach to building a way forward, after a somewhat fragmented approach over several years e.g. having a supposed strategy but regularly deviating from it. I can't see the sense in assembling a new squad in the absence of a DoF, and then bringing one on board? Clive has been clear that we need income to begin any significant recruitment, but other than Dieng, we don't look close to selling any of the players that might enable that. I think we could all see how far off the pace we were last year, and the last time I felt so concerned about our chances of success, was at the time of the no cash, no players summer under Holloway. At least that was in League One. If we do bring in any players, it looks like there will be relatively little time to integrate into the team. It just feels like we are wandering into calamity, with little more than hope associated with Ainsworth's optimism. I love the guy and want him to succeed, but we seem to be creating the conditions for failure. |
| Forum Thread | Taylor Richards at 18:41 23 Jan 2023
I've seen this same question asked in passing on other threads, but what is the deal with Taylor Richards? I would have thought that his 'we sign if we are not relegated' status would have led to a growing number of appearances as the season progressed. Instead, he plays a cameo here and there and then disappears completely again. If he is coming here, then I'd like to see a bit more of him and build up his experience. I don't see Tim or Dozzel as stand-out players who we can never afford to drop, so it is a bit mystifying why he isn't being given a run of games. Has the club ever said anything about it? |
