Probably going to be one of those new fangled LCD Panels with Nourry appearing ala Max Headroom or maybe Holly from Red Dwarf. |

I 'think' it came from his son or daughter. |

Is anyone else perturbed by the excessive unicorn based celebrations? Love him but when he injures sprinting 40 yards after a scoring I will call it what it was, entirely predictable. Still love him. I have nothing against unicorns, I feel that needs to be made clear to some posters. |

The signs were there, he tried to steal his mates milk at 12. |

No I'm saying he was left on last night when struggling because we don't have another option yet. Not his fault. Love him to come good but as has been noted ad infinitum he doesn't seem to suit our style of play and shows little sign of adapting. Partially his fault I think you afford time to strikers your developing, you don't leave an asset you paid good money for on the pitch in that for the world to see when doing the square root of feck all. Partially his fault I'm not booing him in the ground. I'm discussing his performance afterwards. My Fault. I think Mongolia would be extreme. Maybe Chinese 2nd division. It's been a nice chat Padula but try and join in in the spirit. |

When was the last time anyone tried to smuggle weed through an airport, he's been setup the tw*t. |

He shouldn't be in the team, the fact he is - is why it's being discussed. He will know he's not had the best start, I would like to think that a fan base can have a grown chat about it without having to consider the players feelings each and every time. When it's the performances that matter. Most of his critic's thus far have been pointing out nothing more the the commentators in the games have noted, he doesn't affect the game. Does he have to turn the sound off on his telly as well? Ok I said he looked 'scared of grass' if he can't take that then he's in the wrong profession We've given a lot of strikers 'Till Christmas' (Clive can add that one to the lexicon) A million quid says he needs to look like he's applying himself a little more. How many came good? Football is a numbers game. |

No I didn't say that Numpty. Use the whole quote, don't cut it down and I'll answer your question |

Guéhi is decent no argument there. His stats are his stats, I have no baring on how harsh they look. I'm again not convinced all the players 'Pass Pass Pass' Smyth for this faults does look to whip in a ball, Paal is good when overlapping but does often cut back, Illy influence? There was a ball over his head from Andersen last night that he just let go, that landed in the 6 yard box which unless I missed something is his area of expertise. If you were is struggling then wouldn't you chase a few balls? The criticism is early but from a fan base that has seen an awful lots of faltering strikers in their time so probably come from some experience. Fair play for going, but I guess we saw it differently. |

This debate seems to be did he/didn't he want to win. when the truth is he would have liked to won the game but was stopped by committee and circumstance. Head Coach, title says it all. Lets say Marti pushed to go balls in (Not the biggest Marti fan but he's growing on me) and Frey, Dembele and Cook got injured, this would be a very different thread. I doubt may would be lording his bravery but I may of course be wrong. Does the league cup really need to be a balls out event every year? 3 injuries from disaster and no Ben Williams means he gets a pass from me. Anyway knowing us we'd have only got through to find Keith bloody Stroud waiting on the other side of the fixture to disallow a perfectly fine goal. Time they are a changing, but, I will survive. |

Agreed but we play the ball not the man, unless given reason. Dykes carried himself like a pro should, what's wrong with saying it? |
| Forum Reply | Celar at 17:08 18 Sep 2024
His movement prevented several final balls, did you actually watch the game? He changes his mind and gets caught behind the play. His stats are here: https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1866083/Live/England-League-Cup-2024-2025-Quee He won 2 out of 5 headers, 0 key passes, 0 tackles, 0 Dribbles. He in effect did nothing to help us up the pitch. When he did drop back he gave away the FK that lead to the goal. Please try to understand that just because he's playing badly now doesn't mean he won't come good. I'd love to be proved wrong but I can't see it happening. I've nothing against him, just don't see this working on current evidence based analysis. |

If you watch his movement he looks lost, almost like he cannot communicate with his team mates. Would you offer any examples of people slating Dykes then wanting him to stay? Haven't seen many myself..... |
| Forum Reply | Celar at 16:47 18 Sep 2024
I think most said he looked over weight and would need time, most noted he was putting himself about and finding good positions. that was my memory. Yes a few did joke, apparently if you look like a serial killer then it's allowed. That's quite a long way from all and sundry calling him cack. Maybe you did but I and many others didn't, do you have any examples or evidence? |

Dykes as a man I thought was first class. |

Saito seemed to hold on to the ball a bit to long, Thought Ashby looked good bringing the ball out. Not a lot wrong with the performance there. |

You must have seen him more than me, is he developing any understanding of what he should be doing? |
