I think there is nothing wrong with a bit of s**thousery. Personally, I thought Trossard’s yellow when kicking the ball away was a bit tough. He was already stepping in to kick it when the whistle went. But the ref deemed it a breach, and so the due punishment was served.
The trouble comes with where to draw the line. How about booking goalies who collect the ball then collapse to the ground when seeing out time at the end of a half? Ours have done it plenty of times. |

I agree re Archer. He has some skill at maneuvering, but just doesn’t have the killer instinct required of a striker at this level. |

It was mentioned by TV pundits several times about us not having a player on the edge of the penalty area when defending corners and set pieces. Yet again, it cost us yesterday. We are failing on very simple, basic tactics. Like our modus operandi, passing the buck. [Post edited 22 Sep 15:46]

Quite simply, since the beginning of Austerity, the rich have got richer, and the poor have got poorer. There are ample surveys to show this, and I’m not going to find one, because it is just about a given truth.
This has got nothing to do with the benefits system, it has got to do with a broken taxation and economic system. Much as i don’t like or trust Starmer and co, they have not been the ones in power during this period. |

Watching the opposition tearing our defence a new one, again, reminded me of when JS and JB were firsts choice selections and did pretty well when we had the high press. But then their lack of pace was found out, and some of the awful positioning and mistakes by JS left JB exposed, and he gradually lost confidence, leading to he and the fans not hitting it off and his escape to Villa.
It would be criminal if the managers allowed this scenario to unfold again. |

He just is nowhere near PL standard, and has cost us doubly in this game with an average Man U team. It just goes to show how inadequate RM’s judgement is.
Archer looks like a poor stand in for AA, but you have to put that down to the sporting director and his team. |
