The FA's announcement of last week (scrapping the 'weakened team' penalty sanction for clubs who for whatever reason decline to field their strongest eleven in a game) may have all sorts of implications next season, not least for us.
If - as is almost certain - we have by some distance the weakest side in the Prem next season, how likely is it that all of the big clubs (and probably most of the others) will rest many of the bigger players in fixtures against us ? What's the point in risking Drogba and Torres when Kalou and a few decent kids will comfortably get you the three points ? And how silly will that make the club's marketing hype about 'the best in the world at LR' look ?
Mind you, Wenger will probably get egg on his face when Hulse scuffs in a 90th minute winner...so what am I worrying about
