I don't want to to put the mockers on it, and all fingers crossed, but Albert Gronbaek, if YouTube film is anything to go by ( and often it's not because the bloke has to perform in the EPL) looks the biscuit etc: fast, strong, direct, got a shot and intelligent. The kind of player we should have been buying 4 years ago and for once a very capable midfielder. He looks exciting and I'm one I'm excited about putting on a Saints shirt. Just the the kind of buy I'd expect Juric to pick up. No doubt I'm overly optimistic but let's see him put on the shirt as soon as possible. Rock on!

Poll: Will Ross Stewart Ever Play For Saints Again?

Basic rule.

Do not ever ever ever rely on a You Tube montage for a player.

We thought Agustin Delgado was going to be the next Pele when he signed for us, basically based on his You Tube video.

The only You Tube video I can ever recall being accurate was Onuachu. It was a reel of a number of his goals, and I could tell straight away that he was going to be a lumbering carthorse. He scored one of the worst hat-tricks I have seen.

Still, I hope you are right re Albert!!

Yes, we'd all look pretty decent on YouTube. It's easier to make forwards look good because they're just knocking the ball into the net but is much harder to make a running midfielder look overly good on YouTube. Apart from Fernandes, heaven forbid, I haven't seen any other of our midfielder's play like that for years. Anyway, we have to find a replacement for Big Les and Downsey's not up to scratch at the moment. He's on loan with an option to buy so, for a change, we can't really lose.

Unless he is any good and, as with Alderweireld, we get stitched up when one of the big boys come calling.

I think with Albert Grønbæk and Mateus Fernandes as our attacking midfield duo, we should have a bit more about us in the middle of the park. Fernandes, who's only 20 lets not forget, is looking better with each passing game. He's got a good engine on him too for someone that young. Grønbæk looks/sounds decent and at 23, is a good age too with plenty of experience already (albeit only a loan for now).

We just need a striker, a good striker, that can and will score goals. I'm hoping that SR manage to pluck one from somewhere who's surplus to requirements at a big European club say. Everyone from mid-PL table downwards is looking for the same of course but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that SR, somehow, some way, manage to pull a rabbit out of the hat!

Even more impressive when you consider You Tube didn't actually exist until 4 years after Delgado signed.

At least Tall Paul has scored a hat trick which more than any other player we have at the club (excusing Tyler's Academy goals).

'I could tell straight away that he was going to be a lumbering carthorse'

This is just the sort of comment we don't need
He has just scored his first goal for us and we want him to score many more.
We are not exactly blessed with forwards so make the most of what we have until we can employ better.
That was a good goal he scored at Forest which contributed to them panicking till the final whistle.
Forwards need confidence and support from the fans not debilitating comments that don't help the player or us.
