Even if they get some decent compensation for Corberan from Valencia they might prefer a currently out of work option like Mark Robins or Russell Martin, rather than handing that compo over to us for Marti. | | | |

He moved us up a whole five places last season and this season we're at the giddy heights of 14th after one of the worst, if not the worst, starts to a season we've ever had and playing absolutely awful football. No one is looking at that record and thinking, fantastic, this guy looks ideal for a promotion campaign. |  |

Yep, this. I get the obvious concern, but ( famous last words) I'm personally not too worried about this one. West Brom are post-parachute, on a reportedly parlous financial trajectory and come across as a busted flush. Can't see the attraction for Marti/Zavi here. And, as said, as long as the rest of the football world doesn't look too closely, we're hardly flying ourselves in recent times. [Post edited 24 Dec 16:04]
