One more experience, one more entry in a diary self penned...not my words but lyrics by my favorite singer. Not a QPR supporter I must add and I ignored the following "emotional suicide " line. Anyway this song came to my mind as I will be over for the Sunderland game. I found that quite fitting, especially when I had a look on sunday at where they are in the table. Still look forward to the game as I dont really like watching on the Stream. Being there and soaking up the whole match day experience is so much better, even more so when the result goes our way.
To side step our game a bit my wife, footballing daughter and me watched the ManCity Ladies when they played in Vienna. Chloe Kelly came over to us especially when she saw us waving a QPR shirt. We had a little chat and she asked if I support QPR from afar and when I said yes, she replied "for your sins ".
Finally, I have got a SPARE ticket as my mate who would have us from Wales had an eye operation and cant go now. So if there is interest and you dont mind sitting next to me get in touch..

Saw him in Vienna recently on his farewell tour...his voice is pretty much gone, but it was still excellent. I will miss the big man when he retires...

Saw Marillion a number of times at Hammy Odeon and Wembley Arena, great live band.
Still listen to their first two albums a lot.

I hope you have a great day, I'm quietly confident of a result! I hope someone takes you up on your spare mate

Re. Marillion, I used to live next door to a woman who ended up marrying one of the musicians in the band. When they were starting to establish a real following, he had to decide whether to stick with his 9 to 5 job or jack it in and go on the band's first ever American tour.

I can remember some tutting about "giving up a steady job" but he followed his heart, Marillion made it big and he is still in the band to this day.

PS: He's actually still married to the same girl.

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

On that subject, I heard about an Australian singer who had a few hits as a novelty act called William Shakespeare. He had been leading a band but a producer asked him if he wanted to moonlight in a pub rock band half his life or did he want to be a star? WS had a couple of number 1s in the 70s before some unsavoury facts came out about his pursuit of under age girls. The titles of hits were a bit of a giveaway in hindsight, the other one was called “My Little Angel”.

He ended up sleeping rough in a hut at a bowls club before drinking himself to death. Still, he outlived his replacement in the band who died in a similar fashion but with a different status. Fella called Bon Scott.
