Ryan manning on 19:44 - Oct 5 with 3494 views | aston_hoop | I think he has been a revelation in the left wing back role. The perfect outlet for his energy combined with his quality on the ball with his left foot. Plays every game like it could be his last. Good lad

Agree. He looks made for a wing back role. Him and Eze are the two at the minute pushing for player of the season so far. Manning, Eze, Chair, BOS...all youngsters signed and brought through our academy under Les, Ramsey and Penrice. Kudos That is way you focus on cause and effect. All those years Les and Ramsey getting slated, we are starting to see the fruits. Our best players were spotted out of nowhere, signed for nothing and coached brilliantly in the academy by Ramsey. I remember the outrage from some when Ramsey got appointed Head of the Academy after being removed as head coach. Looks like a f**king good decision. Causation and Correlation are different things. Give it a few years to see the effect of the cause.
Ryan manning on 19:52 - Oct 5 with 3431 views | Match82 | Very impressed with Manning this year. Amazing how being forced into a new position by need can be the making of someone. Credit to him for the hard work he has put in

Ryan manning on 20:45 - Oct 5 with 3182 views | horshamHoop | West London sport agrees and so do I!! Ryan Manning: 9 Superb stuff from Manning — arguably his best performance for the club so far and there have been a few belters to choose from. He was involved in three of the goals, combining with Ilias Chair for two of them before delivering the perfect cross for Jordan Hugill to head home. Brilliant.
Ryan manning on 21:01 - Oct 5 with 3106 views | Boston | Manning has had a dramatic movement in his character, it's barely five mins since he was the subservient apprentice, he's now a confident deliverer of instructions. Has captains material written all over him.

Ryan manning on 21:14 - Oct 5 with 3059 views | oldmisery | Yes, superb performance today. It's amazing that most, if not all, of Warburton's predecessors saw him as a peripheral figure. Perhaps he has blossomed because of the faith shown by MW, perhaps it's because he's now 23 or perhaps it's because he has appeared to have grown about five inches taller in the last eighteen months! And to think, we would have probably seen none of these great performances if Wallace had been fit at the start of the season!
Ryan manning on 21:16 - Oct 5 with 3038 views | paulparker | And yet can’t even get into the worst Ireland squad in history , McCarthy needs shooting
| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

Credit needs to be given also to John Eustace who put him in at left back in a tricky away game at Millwall and kept him there the rest of the season. This season he's gone up another level.

Ryan manning on 22:38 - Oct 5 with 2737 views | DavieQPR | I think it is also the determination to succeed that has driven him. Last season on loan was a wake up call for him. He was given a chance, through circumstances, in a strange position and grasped this opportunity with both hands. BOS on the other I thought had a bad game until he scored. I still rate him and Shopido as athletes in boots.

Sad to report according to Brian he did not receive the call from ROI it went instead to the other Blackburn guy who got roasted all afternoon. Even more depressing is the fact Irelands starting LB Stevens is suspended for Saturdays must win game and Mick knew that before the last friendly and basically played a fill in there just to take the pis*. I know Kenny will pick Manning next year but you have to reward his great play now IMO and let him establish himself or at least have the chance .

I used to really detest Mick McCarthy. He was brutal in his first spell as Irish manager. His shocking management of umpteen Irish players was historically bad, he was lazy in his selections, resentful when questioned about it, belligerent with the (largely sycophantic) Irish media and then - to cap it all off - he captained a Country without ever giving it the due respect of learning its national Anthem. At club level he once publicly destroyed one of his Sunderland players for missing a penalty in a Play-Off Final shootout. This from a man who was quite proud that his teams never practiced penalties. Over the years, though, I've watched him grow as a manager and I grew to actually like him, while still despising his football. Calling up Williams over manning reminds me of the Mick McCarthy of old - lazy, poorly informed, poorly prepared. $hite. The lad's a dose of scour.

Perhaps others are telling him that Manning should be in the team (never mind squad). That would mean that Ryan would never be considered while McCarthy is in charge!
Ryan manning on 00:10 - Oct 7 with 1911 views | timcocking | He's got a new interview on the offy. Obviously, you can't actually watch it; technical cock-up somewhere along the line, as you'd predict, but he's got an interview up nonetheless. Ps Don't wanna say i told you so, but i remember saying we should be playing him at fullback years ago. We've had some...mediocre managers, i swear.
Ryan manning on 09:30 - Oct 7 with 1821 views | enfieldargh | One of RM's many attributes is his ability to kill a ball stone dead at whatever height, speed, trajectory it flies at him. Having players like Eze, Chair & Cameron(on his game) who can all control a pass helps his pass rate, his confidence to play short/tight passing movements. He's got pace, is fearless, possesses a wand of a left foot, a football brain and bags of energy. Ryan Manning is R's

Yeh, me too Pinner. Despite being a big admirer of his many talents, I was convinced that he didn't have the pace for lb and would be found out. It hasn't happened (fingers crossed, I haven't jinxed it). Wallace must be looking forward to the first weekend in January which, if Ryan keeps going is likely to be his first chance in the first team. Can we loan him out to get some games in non league as we have done with young Alfa?
Ryan manning on 10:39 - Oct 7 with 1748 views | runningman75 | I was in the paddock on Saturday and so impressed with the movement of the players. Saw one brilliant move with Eze, Manning and Chair. Manning was also putting himself in great positions. I love it that this season the team and not playing musical statues.
Ryan manning on 12:52 - Oct 7 with 1624 views | ridethewave | Best player this year I think. I'm not actually worried about Manning leaving for big money, only because he isn't quick enough to play left back in the top division. So he's one I'm hopeful we'll get to enjoy for a lot longer!

If he gets a call up for ROI and they make the Euros then he plays well on that stage he will be get a lot of attention IMO.Its a lot of variables I know but he is playing so well and combining beautifully with Eze this year it should not go unnoticed .Its not like ROI have top class players keeping him out they are average at best . We are all just enjoying his growth under our eyes and I for 1 are thankful he was given his chance
