Finished in the sense of a massive fine to go with the massive losses incurred so far and the failure to gain PL tv money is going to leave TF with a big decision to make.

Nope, just enough common sense to realise the club is haemorrhaging cash hand over fist at present. Don't worry though, the accounts will be out soon.

Wow, you are a little melodramatic aren't you? Haemorrhaging cash? Finished? We aren't finished and we aren't haemorrhaging cash: We will have problems and we are probably losing money. [Post edited 27 Jan 2014 19:10]

well massive losses can be changed with a big loan to the club from the owners much the same as what Man City have done or re naming the stadium for a large amount of money. I do agree we'd face a tough summer and some big decisions if we don't go up but they won't necessarily be fatal and Fernandes has too much riding on the stadium to walk away, that is a gold mine for him and his partners
Ntep now ours? on 20:53 - Jan 27 with 1562 views | danehoop | If you can stay in France and earn as much plus a signing on fee, I think you'd probably stay in France. In his position I probably would anyway. Alternatively we have been very clear about the fee and chosen not to break that limit. I think it has probably been a decision between half a dozen options from Rhodes, NTep and others on what makes best fit/best value. If we were ever truly in the market for this fellow, then we have in all probability, as is often the case, been used as a way to leverage more out of another club in transfer fee and/or wages. I suspect we were keen but only upto £5M or something similar, given he is unproven at the highest level in France and would have been a bit of a gamble. His home club wanted more and used us a way to flush a higher bid from Rennes (note reported comments from chairman). They appear to have succeeded. Shame but move on if it isnt going to happen at a price we want.

Remy's success in The Premiership shows what a technically adept player can do both on the the pitch and for their career by coming to the UK. Two great reasons why Harry Redknapp and his " meticulous " planning should have selected a number of French players he could sign this Window before we are taken to last day panic stations. We reduced our wage bill by about £15m in the Summer. We have another 15 players out of contract this coming Summer, including big earners like Green, Mbia, Park, SWP, AJ, Zamora. It's not ideal but we're likely to be in a far better position than 9 months ago.

Ntep now ours? on 22:06 - Jan 27 with 2780 views | danehoop | I am not sure that we are any different from most clubs in completing business in last week of a transfer window. Most signings are loaded there when agents and players have had a chance to consider what's on offer and best fit for them. Probably an appropriate time for an Ollie analogy about getting lucky of an evening with a lady. But it is a cattle market in the January window and we just hoping we don't pull a pig. Not all doom and gloom and we will get something out of this if there is player or two we want. If you take tony Fernandes interview at face value, I think I am happier they take the time to get the right singing. Or we just take the Jamie line that we all screwed anyway so why bother.
