Bailey Peacock-Farrell rewarded for remarkable end to season with senior international call-up Wednesday, 16th May 2018 13:30 by @LucasMonk_ United's callow shot-stopper has been rewarded for a remarkable end to the 2017/18 season with a call-up to the Northern Ireland squad... Leeds United goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell has been selected in Michael O'Neill's latest Northern Ireland squad, and he could face Panama and Costa Rica in forthcoming friendly matches. Peacock-Farrell, who made his first professional appearance for Leeds against Queens Park Rangers in April 2016, has won copious praise in recent months for his stellar performances after he dethroned the error-prone Felix Wiedwald to become the first-choice goalkeeper at Elland Road. In particular, the Darlington-born 21-year-old produced an infallible showing at home to Sunderland last month, producing a stupendous save to keep out an Ashley Fletcher header from close proximity. This news caps a fine second half of the season for Peacock-Farrell, who made his debut for Northern Ireland's U21 squad in March before receiving United's Young Player of the Year award earlier this month. Also joining him in being called up to the Northern Ireland squad is Stuart Dallas; the winger represented his country at the 2016 European Championships, but has recently endured a difficult season that has been punctuated by injuries.
