Bournemouth Game Nearing Sell Out
Thursday, 23rd Mar 2017 14:13

Saints clash with AFC Bournemouth at St Mary's on Saturday 1st April is nearing a sell out as the home fans prepare to watch their team at the stadium for the first time in almost two months.

As expected the Bournemouth game despite being a late kick off on TV will sell out with the only question being when ? That will soon be answered with only a couple of hundred tickets still left in the home areas as of Thursday afternoon with nine days still left before the clash.

Most areas only have single seats left or at best two together although the Chapel Stand still has a few clusters of seats yet to be sold mainly at the very back or front.

This could mean that the game could sell out in the next 24 hours, so anyone who is planning on going had better get their skates on as this sentence will be the nearest that we get to our real derby game for a while.

Also selling well is the visit of Crystal Palace a few days later.

Problem is Bournemouth are not a very good watch this season and Howe's pressies have become repetitive, predictable and boring. I am genuinely surprised that they are not in the relegation zone. By some miracle they get to play in the PL for one more season at least but they are living on borrowed time and some fortuitous loan players to get them out of a hole. If we can't beat them by at least three clear goals then it says more about us than them.

Saintbrock I agree, the only thing to add is that I don't see Howe being around to witness their fall, I think he's Arsenal bound with Wenger going back to Monaco.

I imagine you could be right but Wenger but. is more likely to become Director of Football at Arsenal. It could be a good partnership, Howe has much to learn and Wenger has much to teach so Howe would be lowered gently into the shallow end.

On the other hand, Puel might pull it all together next season and head to the Emirates the following year with Wenger doing one more year. They have worked well together in the past albeit a long time ago and their ideas of how to play the game seem to co-incide, keep possession, pass and move and score one more than the opposition.
