Have to say Well Done Rangers for yesterday. To be slightly disappointed at drawing away at a (probable) top six team suggests to me that this team does actually belong in this division, not the one(s) below.
And on reflection, I don't see the Madsen, Morrison and Ashby chances as missed sitters. The real 'missed sitters' have been not beating Plymouth, Portsmouth or Hull at home.... |

I don't know how to react really. Just seems strange. I was just waiting for Cardiff to obviously equalise. Because of course.

Went last weekend and yes, if you read this thread first and assume it will be awful (I did) , you might be pleasantly surprised (I was).
Not a great film by any means IMHO but some great epic scenes in it with a lot of historical accuracy (they really did stage naval battle re-enactments in the Coliseum apparently - incredible) and excellent attention-to-detail. Worth a watch. |

If this is any way true, it would IMHO be a terrible, terrible mistake that this Great Club will never recover from.
Worse even then parting ways with Warbs in 2022 or selling Paul Goddard to West Ham in 1980.
If I were Nourry I'd go completely the other way and offer Marti/Zavi an improved 5-year contract right now. Stuff it. [Post edited 23 Nov 19:36]

Could Warburton as DOF/CEO and Cifuentes as Head Coach work? The dream scenario is that Warbs has always appeared financially switched-on in the football world and he appears to have a similar style-of-play outlook to Marti/Zavi. There could be a clash of strong driven personalities perhaps (but look at us now!).

This. To me, it was Spurs/Arsenal in the North, Rangers in the West, West Ham in the East. And all the others floating around. Remember that from the mid70s to the mid90s, Fulham, Brentford, Palace (give or take), Reading, Charlton were pretty much nowhere whilst Luton and Watford weren't established in the top flight for that long.
I know our club has made many mistakes in recent times, but we really need 2 or 3 of those to fail a bit now as was the case before. Really unlucky that everyone in our vicinity (Fakes excepted) has their house relatively in order. |
