I'm just confused how we're getting three straight wins out of two games to be honest

SaintBrock my motto is don't let the football ruin a good day out at the football, may as well go on the piss before and after because the 90 minutes in the middle are godawful at the moment

Nick Camden on the tube is barely any difference to highbury islington on the tube. For Highbury Islington you take the Bakerloo to Oxford Circus (if you fancy a drink in soho on the way that's handy) and then from the victoria line to Hghbury. It takes less than 30mins and is actually quicker than going to Camden.

Anyway another thing for those interested, there's no overground from Shadwell to Highbury Islington on Sunday so if you're coming from East London/Essex/Sussex that's a real pain

Spurs will be a cracking away day when it's finished, you can basically tour breweries to the ground. From South Tottenham station you walk to Five Miles (about a ten minute walk) then from there you have a short walk down the canal to the Beavertown brewery, next door to Beavertown (literally same industrial estate) is Pressure Drop tap room and brewery, then back onto the high road (via the beehive) and you can get to Redemption brewery and one mile end which are both bang next to the ground.

Then you just have to be let in...

Nick you are absolutely obsessed with Camden!

Good pub suggestions in Highbury are the Alywne Castle (big beer garden, food and away fan friendly), the Compton Arms (small but a good selection of ales), if you venture a bit further afield into cannonbury you have an even better selection of pubs like the snooty fox and highbury tavern.

In Kentish town/Gospel Oak you also have the Southampton Arms (one of the best real ale/cider pubs in london) although be warned it's cash only.

There's also the option to drink in Crouch End and get the overground accross to upper Holloway and walk, pubs there include the Haringey Arms near Crouch hill station which has a bottle shop next door so you can get beers for the walk down to Finsbury park (about a 10min walk).

To be fair if you do that you can also take in the pubs on Stroud Green Road, the old fat cat is really good for food, the worlds end is nothing special but another on route and there's the faltering fallback there too which has one of, if not, the best beer garden in London.

Basically Camden is a sh*thole and as someone that's lived in the area for over 8 years i avoid it like the plague (and recommend others do to)

Really don't understand why you recommend Camden instead of Hackney Wick. Camden is just full of terrible overpriced chain pubs and tourist traps, Hackney Wick has multiple breweries, like Crate (good pizza there too) and Howlin hops, or the beer makers tap.

There's also bar 90 which is a good for a beer (although doesn't let in people with colours).

Also if you really want to do a crawl then you have tons of brilliant pubs in Dalston and Hackney too (stops along the way).

The other route you can go is via Bethnal Green, there's loads of quality pubs on bethnal green road and then a walk down the canal to the ground.

8k seats detracts from the atmosphere? I assume by that you mean it adds to the deathly silence and clicks of tourists taking pictures on their phones/ipads.

Anfield is probably in the top three in the country for sh*t atmospheres, terrible, terrible place for noise and a day out for tourists more than a football ground.

They changed the great northern service timetable at the begining of December so it now stops there all the time, whether or not overcrowding means it's open is a different thing

Pro tip from someone living in north london, if you want to avoid the tubes and madness drink near Old St, then get the great northern line from old st (or highbury islington) to Drayton Park which is just outside the ground.
