Alan Reeves was another around that age and he wasn't bad either and for us old timers Ray Aspden comes to mind but think he might have been a little bit older than the current boys are |

Whilst your suggestion that contracted players would not be happy to be replaced by loan players is perhaps the case , there should be an acceptance that the squad still needs new faces and would the same players be happy to be replaced by someone arriving on a 2 year contract who is deemed to be more what is needed. What any player has to do is knuckle down ,train to the best of their ability so it becomes harder for the Manager to leave them out of the team. |

I am sure that there is an awareness of the need for a couple of signings in the positions suggested, but think that they will be made by signing loan players as from a quick check think we have only a couple of loan players in the squad as it stands
Don't think the transfer window restrictions apply to clubs at our level either so the deals whilst it would be nice to get them done sooner rather than later don't necessarily have to be done by next week |

Can only assume that the availability of kit for the new season is down to a manufacturing issue, The last thing I would want would be to announce a date for kit to be available for purchase and then find that only certain items or sizes are available
That would then quite rightly incur the wrath of the buying public and lead to accusations of being a tinpot club |

I'm sure that he will be aware that his position will be subject too a little more scrutiny than was the case last season when there were certainly bigger issues to contend with and as long as we didn't have another relegation battle, his job was reasonably safe.
Expectations I feel will be higher this season and will be interesting to see how that pans out |
