True. I was very much in the 1-1 camp this evening but they are getting good at 'grinding these results out' and with some flair too. At least we are creating the chances we are missing at the moment. If it wasn't for their keeper and the post a few times that would have been more. But yes, 5 in a row from QPR is always some sort of force against the predictable ones where we throw things away.
We're actually (points wise) closer to the play off positions than the relegation positions as of tonight. Don't worry I am not going off on one but who would have thought that literally about 6 weeks ago?
It's a difficult one. Technically by the rule book his arms are within his outline or whatever it is. It would have been handball had he caught it, but he dropped it and kicked it in. He was actually waiting to see if the ref or anyone had spotted the push so I think he was slightly surprised it was given but he did the professional thing, he put it in the net anyway.
Tremendous stuff. Great game. Lloyd is a real handful. Despite the tight stats that was a well deserved win and hard fought as Luton really weren't bad at all.
Tonight will be a more difficult game than I think we are expecting. Luton will set up not to get beat and we're not great at teams that come to do that. But... It is time for Jimmy Dunne to exorcise the ghost of the Luton comms a few seasons ago when they made fun of his bad injury. Time to put a few goals past them Jimmy in your current form!
I don't think so. I think it is a prelude to the fact that we've suffered injuries to Cook, JCS and Morrison twice and we know Jimmy is doing well at right back. I agree we absolutely have to get Jimmy on a new contract asap.
Promoting the juniors (who 'weren't ready') from the development team to the first team because we had no choice (and finding out that they were ready) and the coach and senior team putting their arm around them. Then the bond that created between the squad and the fans.
Amazing how adversity can throw up an unlikely solution!
Good shout. Just needs a few more goals to really start looking like him but my god he is a vastly improved player these days. At 27 he is a fantastic example to the younger players whilst still be very young himself.
I like that he obviously keeps reminding the team that they can't perform like they did at Swansea and that they have to keep concentrated. Having Chair, JCS, Frey and Colback back really helps.
Rode our luck a little bit today but 3 excellent goals. Our number 9 Dunne on fire again and making a crucial deflection to prevent it being 3-2. Smyth now regularly with an end result to his runs. He's on fire. We even score the 3rd goal twice in this highlights package.
