He only had 4 freekicks, but he was frustrated at the crosses into the box and his inability to do anything positive. Portugal are no mugs but Slovenia were on it all night and didn't deserve the finale as Costa trumped his opposite number Oblak who excelled in the 120 mins up to the shootout.
If we see games like this at San Spotty this season that will do. |

Sounds a little stressed even as training begins.....hope he was watching Slovenia tonight, now that's entertainment and these Emerging Football Nations are showing how it can/should be done, it's enough to get Ronaldo crying. |

Southgate owes Hey Jude big time, for getting him out of trouble and saving him from the morning dole queue but his time at the top must be running out. We can all see parallels to how our lot have been playing and I wonder if McNulty might, just might change his mindset into how we play?
England fans have only had to endure this mess for 3 matches, we have had it served up for 3 seasons. |

Looks like Garry Southgate has been using the McNulty Manual of Shite football.....it was just like watching our lot in our prime ......as Alan Shearer said in the 47th minute "England are all over the place" and it certainly did n't get any better. From top to bottom England were poor. At least he didn't leave it till 85 mins to try a change and it did help but players like Rice were a shadow of what we see week in week out.Bizarre.

As good as that sounds, I hope he spends wisely cos we are n't made of money and some of these 2 year deals are bound to misfire, we have previous in this regard.....other selling Clubs will be aware. |

I hope and expect he is on a drastic wage cut.....2 years as well. He did have some "mare" games but also improved as the season progressed. Chipped in with a few goals and I suppose we have a bit of continuity here...? |
