Legend fits. A Entertainer, man of the people and humbled that I was lucky enough to witness first hand your great years with us. Truly a R. You were special and made QPR special. Daphne said you were the best she'd ever seen, in a qpr shirt. Updated my avatar showing you via Leeds in 74, against Gordon Mc Queen. Your legacy shines on Stan. God bless you. |

Well done Ned for a loverley post on your dad. Having lost my wife unexpectedely just over 3 years now, this crazy club & passion we have for it, somewhat provides a outlet for positive memories such as you make comment etc. Keep strong and sincrere condolances for your loss. |

Thank you Clive for a insightful interview with Lee and also reinstating Away games. Time will tell, but believe we have a good one, that's now getting to understand what QPR is all all about ( far from easy) in Lee Hoos. |

Superb mate, as others have said, the last year or so has been more than challenging. Your writings have been great Clive and you provide humour and great insight into QPR FC. Apart from wishing you a great summer break, and I think you may have done it to tease, Shepherds Bush is not EastEnders, so its the Crown & Sceptre , not the Crown.! |

Wycombe away, imo was the pits of this season so far. Really thought we were sleep walking into the abyss. Looked a relegation team on the day. Keep up the great work Clive, its very much appreciated for your insight and humour. Oh for the days of the Crown & Sceptre and buying you a start of season Peroni. |

Something about yesterday I cant explain. Real connection between fans and team, facing Leeds and large away support. Really think Warburton is best Rs manager for many a year, makes errors ( we all do) but how far are we off a really decent team.? Much to improve, but great satisfaction about yesterday on and off the pitch. Urs |

Don't normally post, but sharing as below from a reliable Brentford S/Ticket holder. "I was surprised with Steve McClaren departure so late in the season, not sure what others can bring, although agree with you regarding his stats, which were poor - only 1 game won in 15. I personally liked Warburton....very good with young players, good scouting skills, bringing great potential for the future (Andre Gray, Scott Hogan, just to mention few)....he was a close friend of our owner Matthew Benham, as both worked in the City. He doesn't have football background, but not all good footballers make great managers. The reason he left Brentford, as he did not agree with our owner changing philosophy and how he wanted to run the club. In my mind, he is a good guy and can be a great fit for QPR. He had very good rapport with fans....always gave acknowledgement after every game (home & away). We were very sad when he left." |

Any on here that went to that game, when we had won the old Title, but Liverpool were allowed to play there game a week or so later. Lots of QPR in the Wolves end in wishing for a Wolves win and at 1-0 we had hope, but Toshack and Keegan took over. What a team we had then. Great memories on a great QPR team, so close. Urs. |

Jan Stejskal Newcastle away. Think we lost 1-0 but he was stunning and it was a good fews years ago where the welcoming party still stoned us even though we lost,! |

Brilliant post and agree what you're said about remy. It's just the thought of him doing well for them that grates us all, however football is a game that equalisers on occasions and he's hoping he enjoys a good career but we keep beating the scum home & away. Happy Sunday to all |

Born in queen charlotts hospital nr scrubs prison (no connection intended) brought up in North Kensington better known as Ladbroke Grove/Portobello Rosd. Old man god bless him took me out one Saturday to see a football match at a place called loftus road and we went in the LOFT end. Was he trying to groome me in life as a real Holigan? Any how some incidents in the LOFT excited me and then I just recall marshy, then Gerry,Bowles (the best hoops I have ever seen) to the present time. Due to various reasons don't have a season ticket no more but go when I can due to the benevolence of mates. Sometimes don't relate to the club anymore but just think we should cherish Tony Fernandez as he clearly loves our club. Back to the question, why QPR blame the old man but I love the club next to my family the result on Saturday either makes me very happy or in a deep mood of depression. My son also loves club and we love the Chelsea supporting brother in laws when we beat them, not when they beat us. Urs m |

Enjoy the after glow fellow RS, what a day and finish to the game. The East end of the stadium went into delirium, happy faces all round. Shed a tear or two over the team I have supported all my life when bobby's goal went in. Back to South Kenton for a few beers which could have continued all night, now back in Northampton (just) after a epic day. Wembley what a stadium and so happy for Tony Fernandez. We are back in the prem. Lets enjoy the afterglow!! Goodnight, sorry its good morning! |

I will never knock the Conningham or who goes in there. For those that can remember when it was one long bar v Villa years ago. It kicked off big time. Like a wild west show with glasses, bottles, stools the lot. Villa started it and wished they dint. My son was about 10 at the time and all the rs fans protected him from danger, while the remainder well sorted the villa. Not advocating violence, but when it starts, sometimes those starting get it back. Amen for the Conningham and clean bogs in the future! |

Hi Smegma. When you get into your late 50s (me) it easier to say 30 years! than 50, albeit my old man took me at 7 to my first visit. I know Vic since the real "loft boys" and yep it’s around 50 years. Thanks for pointing out my lack of accuracy. Can’t get to many games live at present, but the game via Yeovil will be a definite, really to remember Alec Stock and my old man (rip) who took me to that memorable day at Wembley. QPR family/heritage stuff you know what I mean, similar to Vic Stevenson |
