Same for me. The first game I remember being at clearly was that 1st game of the 75/76 season, 2-0 win over Liverpool with Gerry scoring the first when we played right through their backbone and was voted goal of the season. Leach got the 2nd. I was in the Ellerslie. As you say it's been downhill ever since that season. I have a vague memory of being in the Loft the season before against Leicester possibly, but the game and result were best forgotten. [Post edited 12 Aug 15:43]

From memory I thought that after some delay, both his registration with us and International clearance were both reportedly obtained, and he was able to play games for us. Maybe my memory is failing me, but if not I don't understand how QPR can be liable because only now almost a year on has a court ruled in favour of Boavista. |

Anyone heard how Kolli is? He seemed to me to fall to the ground away from any contact, and struggled to get off the pitch and onto the Subs bench. Hope he is OK, he had a long spell out with injury last season, and it didn't look good today. |

We have to be able to Vary our play out from the back. Going long all the time will mostly mean we are giving the ball away most of the time even with Dykes and Dunne playing. Playing out from the back all the time will also make us all too predictable, especially when we dont have enough players who are good at it as now. We did need to practice it as yesterday. |

Have the Club made it clear they are happy to move Paal on? I've not seen that and doubt they would do that in public either. Only seen rumour and speculation. I'm hoping this Italian player who doesn't seem to have played a lot of 1st team football for some years is an alternative to Paal, and more of a replacement for Larkeshe. Not sure Fox will be sufficient back up alone for either Frabotta or Paal. |

Even if none of our first choice players leave it looks like we are in urgent need of 2 CM's/DM's and 2 AM's at the least to me.
The 2 CM's/DM's are essentially a 6 and an 8. 1 the 6 to replace Hayden (back-up or alternative to Field), and 1 the 8 to replace the Hodge/Dozzell position ( a good passer of ball who can link defence with attack and enable us to play out from the back as I think Marti wants).
The 2 AM's are 1 a 10, a replacement for Willock, and 2 an 11, a wide, pacy wide- man who we need especially now we have lost the pace Armstrong gave us.
I'm not convinced we have enough quality at LB either, and only some time will tell if Celar can score enough goals. |

Eze is being managed by Southgate. He's therefore being cautious playing out of position, doing what he's told to do, but pretty well in that framework I think. I'd play him instead of Foden who has done little in this tournament. |

Great to reach the semi but Southgate makes it hard work. No changes made in the 2nd half with the Swiss taking control of the game. When they score he suddenly makes 3, and we end up playing Saka and Eze as wing backs plus Shaw at CB where they have not played much if at all at their Clubs. Thank Christ Saka came up with that goal and we did well with the pens. [Post edited 6 Jul 20:28]
