This 100% I don’t post on here much these days, but the Frankie thread was the catalyst for so many good things for me. I’ve got to know some of the regular contributors to the thread (Jody, Goody, Pete and Stu, to name just four), and it rekindled my passion for music. During the pandemic, when a lot of this site was a toxic cesspit, the thread was an oasis of calm, with a shared appreciation of good music, in a multitude of different styles (I even managed to inflict Ethiopian jazz on them on the odd occasion!). Through the support of those that post on there I was able to achieve a lifetime’s ambition and get on the radio. Now I have my own fortnightly radio show, on a station local to me, plus a monthly gig in a pub round this way, and I’m booked to play at two festivals this summer. None of that would have happened without the Frankie thread to kick things off, so for that reason… long may it continue |

If you don't mind walking, there's usually plenty of parking on the roads around Parson's Street station, about 25 minutes from the ground. |

Been a while since I’ve posted here, but thought I’d share today’s show with you all. It was thanks to this thread, in particular Maynie, that playing on Release came about, two years ago now. Sadly the Loading Bay shows will come to an end this month, and today’s was my last one. I’m hoping we can come back in the new year, with a different name, maybe some different people, etc. But nothing confirmed yet and it’s far from certain at the moment. Thanks for your support with the show, to all of you that listened in, live or on catch-up, for the messages and encouragement . So here’s the link. It’s the usual format of chucking in as many different styles as I can within two hours, a few mispronunciations and moments getting tongue tied, some crackles, some obscurities and some classics. https://www.mixcloud.com/ReleaseRadioUK/04-12-22-the-loading-bay-crew-release-ra Peace x |

Every now and again I pop back onto this message board to see what's going on, and every time I'm reminded why I stopped coming here in the first place. Depressing. |

It jarred a bit I thought. But it did make me go back and watch the ‘Better Call Saul’ episode of BB to remind myself of their first meeting. Interesting to see Saul’s appearance on BB for the first time - wouldn’t have put it down as spin off material, but it’s been excellent. I thought the brief crossover in this week’s episode was better. Gutted there’s only one more episode to go… |

Same here. I do like the Jones Girls version that Goody posted, but this is different level. Went to a little club night over this way last Friday and heard it played, first time hearing it out for years |

There’s about 517 pages on the Frankie thread that illustrate what you’ve said is a load of nonsense. |

Steve Jones freely admits in his book that he used to watch the Rangers but changed to Chelsea. As did Roger Daltery (although he opted for Arsenal). [Post edited 20 Jun 2022 16:14]
