Agreed.
I thought the poor first half was a little down to him being a little whistle happy but apart from the Madsen mistake and the harsh yellow for Lloyd he didn't do too bad. |

From what I see, Dunne did not smack Sainz in the face. Both players challenged for the ball and Sainz’s head made contact with the back of Dunne’s shoulder. Accidental and both players challenged in a natural manner. McLean was a very different situation.
I do agree about retrospective action being wrong in most instances. If your manager wants to go and find examples of serious foul play that was not seen or punished by the ref he can fill his boots. If he just wants to find wrong decisions he should find a new career. To be honest he’d be better off spending his time getting his team to focus on not getting in trouble. |

I wonder if Cook was laughing at McLean (and his antics) to wind him up rather laughing than with him?
Whatever, McLean clearly deliberately raised his arm at another player and having struck his head that's clearly serious foul play and a red if the ref and lino were any good. |

Unless it's critical we don't seem to put anyone back in the team after an injury. Couple of matches on the bench with increasing minutes on the pitch each time appears to be the approach and I'd expect that to apply to Chair. |

It may be competitive but there’s not much quality. Amazingly, with Sheff Utd top only one team have gone to them and scored and come away with a point. Everyone else has lost and failed to score. Wonder which team that was? |

Current rule is punishable by indirect free kick. Never given because it seems too harsh and it ends up being a yellow card once and then not punished further.
A corner, whether with or without a yellow, is much more likely to be given and given more than once. It makes absolute sense to me. |

18 people didn’t. With some deaths likely to have been caused by the lack of warnings, better to have too many warnings than too few. |

Enjoyable match.
We should have won, need to finish chances and our winger needs to learn how to cross.
The 2000 who were there were brilliant and rightly gave the team credit during and after the game.
Watford support is truly awful.
The referee was a massive homer, in fact a case study for refs in "how to be a homer".
Only Ken Paal disappointed, clearly not back up to speed.
5 points from the week is ok, it could have been 9 but fine margins... |
