Ferrie was an absolute star of a player who would of reached the top, I've met Garry Parker, ex villa assistant to MO'N and had a chat with him about it. They were both at the game where Ferriw got injured, and villa were preparing a bid of around 5million, and obviously the rest as they say is history. A top top player who would of reached the top! Would love this to be true, a very good modern centre back who is comfortable in possession and can score a few. Possibly better than everything we have bar ash, and more highly rated than victor winyama ever was. Thumbs up from me |

You've taken our best two players away. Ok let's try this, take messi and do Maria out of Argentina, they would be out. Take Neymar and Thiago silva out of Brazil, wouldn't be a great side. I know what your saying but when you take players away teams get weaker, this isn't FIFA or champ man where this can happen. They will always be welsh and will play for wales in the competitive games. Wales have the foundations of a decent side, all you need is a decent side and some luck and you'll reach a tournament. Look at Greece and Bosnia, no superstars bigger than what we have and they have made it. |

I'm all for people's opinions but I'm totally against this idea. Why would anyone want to take away the opportunity to support your national side in the sport I'm guessing you love the most? Crazy. I'm all for Great Britain at the Olympics, but world stage football, wales for me should go alone. With English football declining and welsh football getting better from national side, age group sides coaching clinics and FAW courses, grass roots and also club football doing well, it would be crazy. Bale Ramsey Allen Huws j.williams Davies John Matthews Lawrence all round, welsh football is looking bright. |

There's some gems in The African sides, although like you say, work permits are always an issue. If possible, worth signing. |

I don't think arsenal will leave CJ leave, let alone on the cheap. Season loan could be an option, but with angel he probably wouldn't have much game time. |

Skippyjack, your looking a bit of a div here, obviously personal over actual ability I think here. |

He might not be as good as Rangel now, but having a season to learn from him and he could be a better player. Improved his defensive abilities since leaving Cardiff, one of few players in 5 years to mark messi out of a game. Unreal pace and could link up with dyer well. Good signing. |

Great appointment, this guy was the youngest pro licence holder in wales and by far the best coach I've had the pleasure to work with. If anyone has any doubts about our ambition for the academy, then this reiterates how far we want to go. Quality coach |

Dwight, you would be surprised how many families flew over to watch the Colorado and Earthquakes game! With Chicago being just as good as California, wouldn't see no reasons why this would be different. And yes, it would be great to take merchandise etc over, last time in colorado, i know the swans left kit and other equipment for a local side over there and then went back to do some academy coaching, so some links, even if they are small are still there. If we can do it again, then great. |

Just seen on social media that we are touring the states again this pre season. A two week training camp held in Chicago from july 6th with two games during the tour being against Chivas and Minnesota United. Great oppotunity for our fans to fit in a family holiday whilst watching the super swans in another continent. I was lucky enough to be working out there last time we toured there and managed to watch the San jose Earthquakes game! great experience. |

Huws is a major reason brum stayed up, im sure he had something like 4 MOTM in his first 5/6 games, and also added some key goals. In terms of his game, he is very composed on the ball and not afraid to try something which a Ledley or a Vaughan wouldnt. Going back to the thread, i now team GB used taylor at right back, but wales, just like monk and laudrup never did, shoudnt use him at right back. my wales team: Hennesey Matthews A.Williams Collins Davies Allen Huws HRK Ramsey J.Williams Bale With the skill and pace in the top 4, especially HRK and bale we should set up to counter attack, fill the midfield and be patient. Full backs love to attack and are quick, so they would offer great support on the attack, providing allen or huws are disciplined enough to sit. Reason for collins above this Chester fella, well i aint seen enough about him to warrent a start. Say what you want about collins, but hes a proven PL player with enough international experience to help the young lads out, plus since his spat with Coleman, hes been quailty for wales, althought its only 3 games hes played. And would i travel? Hell yes! |

Hes going to boss the midfield for wales for years, forget Ramsey, this lad will be better. Did hear tho that he has no interest coming back, even on loan as hes happy living away from home and having independence. How true that is tho, i dont know. |

Agreed, id have Flynny there! Leon Britton Roberto Marinez Brian Flynn John Coates Neil Cutler My list is mainly the Hull squad/era, but i feel this was the start of our journey. Flynn brought in the nucleus of our squad for the next 3/4 years in Trunds Robbo Britts etc. Coatsey is there, 300 plus appearances for us and that ball for James Thomas. Jack through ad through. I know Cutler will be controversial, but lets be fair he was quality and the difference in many games. Quality saves in the wins over rochdale and oxford spring to mind. He ended up chasing the money, but lets be fair it was for a team in a division above (although he played for stockport and got done by Goodfellow from 40 yards) |
