Another point which I don't think anyone has made yet, is that the other teams have strengthened quite a bit since we came up, perhaps more effectively than us. Mid table teams typically have far stronger squads than they had when we came up and the teams that come up from the championship are also stronger than before. There are no easy games is a cliché, but it's never been more true than right now. Clement recognises this and that is why we will need to grind out points for a while. |

yes I saw the pull on Tammy - prevented a two on two situation - should have been a yellow card. |

We are a bit but it will get better. Until then, if we can accumulate as many points as possible then all well and good. I don't agree with what you say about our point being hardly deserved against Spurs. I've seen the stats banded about but I was there and while It's difficult watching us defend relentlessly for 90 mins we looked fairly comfortable for the vast majority of the game other than a shaky spell at the beginning of the second half. We did a really good job on them. Getting a point away against a top 4 side is still a big deal in my book. |

He was/is seen by some on here as a suitable manager for us at some point. It is said that he wants to manage a club in 'England' "soon". I wonder what he is waiting for? Here's the link: www.theguardian.com/football/2014/may/27/paul-clement-real-madrid-west-bromwich-albion-brighton |

I concur. Complete shambles. I was handed a leaflet at Naples airport saying we had to meet at the central station Piaza Garbaldi for the 'special shuttle service' at 4pm. When I got there there was nothing, none of the police even realised there was a game on. They were telling me to take the tube or bus against all other advice received. When I then took a punt on the maritime/port area my experience was exactly the same as edmundo's. Long way to come to watch only 3/4 of a game! Never mind - cracking game. Boys did brilliantly. Off to explore Naples now. |

Does anyone know where I can get information about the busses that are leaving from Naples portside to the ground - like when they leave and from where? There's no info on official website. Really don't want to miss those busses! |

We should go for it - we can win it and this game is a chance for a morale boasting win. I agree with the poster above; start Vasquez and bring Bony on if we need a goal with 25 mins to go. If one or all of JDG, Michu, or Dyer are available then try and give them 30 mins to build up match fitness. The timing of this FAC game is perfect for us to re-group and get back to winning ways. |

The OP is right though. Adnan Januzaj is now "world class" cos he got past Angel a couple of times and Moyes is now a tactical genius because he switched a couple of players round at half time. The match report in Guardian only mentioned the word 'Swansea' twice. The richer our opponents the more invisible we become (which is fine by me btw) |
| Forum Reply | Anyone going to Naples? at 13:49 9 Jan 2014
I am staying quite near the Port. Does anyone know if we'll be bussed in from there like the Arsenal fans were? Don't fancy running the guantlet on public transport and apparently taking a taxi there is interpreted by the natives as "I'm an away fan - please kick me shitless." |
