I don't necessarily disagree with him if he is referring to the first 20 mins of each half. It is the best we have played this season in those periods. But we have to put away our chances. The amazing stat that they showed was in the first 5 mins we had 7 efforts on goal. I think with JCS back in and Chair up to speed, we will be ok. |

That was a good game to watch. I've seen Hull fans say that was the best they have played this season. Yet for the first 20 mins of each half it was all us. I thought in those periods we played our best attacking football. Saito at the heart of our best moves. Then we concede against the run of play and we revert to not being able to defend. Millar is such a good player for them. I've seen comments on that if Dunne was playing right back that he wouldn't have influenced the game as he did, but I'm not sure. He just that good a player at this level. I have that feeling this morning that was the same sort of feeling after the Stoke away game last year. However, I also feel encouraged that if we can replicate those 2 x 20 min periods then we will be ok. Also a big positive to see Chair out there. He looked rusty but we have missed him. Hopefully JCS is back soon as well. Really disappointed in the result, but positive on some of our attacking play last night. Our MoM the match was Saito. Overall Millar by a mile. |

Yellow. Not a red IMO. Not high, didn't leave the ground and caught him on the side of his boot. Ref reacted to two Blackburn players making it out to be really bad rather than the actual offence. |

Watched the Varane challenge a few times now and its not a red IMO. He catches him on the side of the boot, not high, not out of control, just off balance due to a Blackburn player. I think the ref was influenced by Travis and the Japanese player who acted like his leg was snapped in half. Who knows what the result would have been with 11 v 11. We had the best chance of the half with Smyth who should score. The game as mentioned elsewhere looked like it had 0-0 written all over it. |

That's not a red. His studs go in the ground and its his shin that catches him. He is not out of control, just off balance. The ref has reacted to that fvcking caaant Travis acting as though he has been shot. Ref hasn't been good. |

Funny, I have muted that account as well. Gets into arguments over the most mundane things. Annoyed me to the point of turning him off. On the injury, its not ACL as bandaging would be different. Could be a meniscus tear. Recovery time for a meniscus tear depends on the type of treatment and the severity of the tear, but it generally takes 4–16 weeks. Hopefully on the early side. |

If you notice he is trying to play Paal as an extra midfielder when we try and play out. It is always JCS who receives the ball out left as Paal has moved in field. Madsen pushes up a little and Field anchors. Its a one trick pony really but we are persisting with it. Agree though we end up playing it long down the flank of being shutdown. Also often we will place a pass into midfield and that player has someone up his arse. If he takes a touch or tries to turn he sometimes gets robbed. No need for that pass into a cul-de-sac. Not sure what the answer is as just don't want us to punt it up field all the time either. |

No Cook? I like the look of Varane more and more. Colback will be gone at the end of this year. I also think Dunne is not a right back and has never been a right back. Would really like to see Chair as a no10. Give him the freedom of the pitch. I would go with: Nardi Santos Cook JCS Paal Field Madsen/Varane Dembele Chair Saito Frey [Post edited 22 Sep 0:09]
