The percentage reflected the number of shares owned by those who voted

The actual number count of votes wasn't issued, but still can't have been more than a handful

The perception by those with the vast majority of shares that great jobs are being done by the co-chair and other directors needs to be changed. If all the Ogdens are hearing is the usual sycophants, can't blame them for not thinking otherwise... but a grip needs to be got, and perhaps if there's any "silver-lining" to be had from these postponements, they could be the catalyst needed

I wonder if the Ogdens will be represented at tomorrow's Fans Forum?

These issues need to be brought into focus, front and centre

The previous calls to all "get behind the club" may have been well-meaning, but circumstances have now moved on

EGMs, of both the Trust and the Club, may be the only way forward in lancing boils which threaten to ruin the Ogden initiatives. Their massive majority shareholding is of little use when we can't stage football, and their awareness of the views of shareholders/fans may need to be 'revisited'

The AGM of just a few weeks ago was stage-managed to minimise that possibility

Edit: i was one of the very few at that AGM that voted against Pockney continuing as a director. I'd like to know what all those who voted "for" him thought he was contributing to the club?

Whilst you're there...

Can you check the Ratcliffe for any dry rot, mould, loose flooring that might result in a late postponement of the Fans Forum?

It was on Saturday, and the club may well have had no reason to think tonight would be any different

I agree in general about lack of work to ensure football gets played, but sounds like the club really weren't expecting any other decision than to play

The section of pitch that's barest of grass is beyond the tryline, hence it'd hardly have been trodden on during the Hornets game

The wings in general tend not to get much wear and tear during rugby

Have to question the ref's decision

Whilst the surface was 'dead' it had no effect on the course of the game. The low ball for Ayinde's goal was made from that patch without any problem about control or footing

I don't see how that could've changed over the past three days, the only factor being a different ref

What did you think about yesterday's result?

You're good at resurfacing. Fancy having a go with our pitch?

I was equally impressed with Okeke yesterday. Their manager moaning after the game is ironic given the amount of space both Ayinde & Okeke were afforded, without any change in his tactics

Having two widemen who're constantly looking to run at the opposition shows JM has the right instincts. All he's ever needed to do therefore, is set his players free. Perhaps he now feels comfortable enough to do so, although the opposition won't always be quite as accommodating

"Freind" ?

Nice to see your English is still in the "developmental" stage

You're unable to respond to the point about bore-ball, so resort to juvenile trash

Rumbled. Again...

The patty-ball you've been eulogising is the only thing that's been sending us ALL to sleep

But thanks for self-identifying yourself, alongside that other weirdo that favours tranquilizer football

Well, that's not quite all...

The Trust have a 'position' on the board. If the Trust were to put a motion of No Confidence forward in the co-Chair, it'd have to be taken seriously

Any claim of becoming a "community-based club" which the Ogdens aspire to simply couldn't be envisaged without the support of the Trust

Is that going to happen? I think hell is likely to freeze over first, but to suggest there's no options (and there may be others) isn't quite right

"Really can’t remember who has ever defended the slow, possession based stuff at the back as being the best option for this squad"

I can. Let's just say, neither of them live in the UK

Admittedly, one of them was of the "tin-foil hat" brigade. No excuse for the other one

Whether there is or not, the idea that "this is the game these days" would be something permanent is, and always will be nonsense

Football will continue to change and evolve, as one way of doing things gets "found out" so enterprising coaches decide to try something different. What we saw today was the most direct (at times) i've ever seen us under JM. To think that he might therefore fall into the "enterprising" category isn't entirely out of the question

It puts those who've advocated the passing-for-passing's-sake style in a bit of a quandry... how do they save face, when things change?*

* they don't...

Well, there can be absolutely no complaints about that!

For me, best home performance since we were in L1. Could've/should've gone in ahead at half time but came right out of the blocks second half and Yeovil couldn't cope

Much more progressive in terms of forward momentum and a couple of our goals came from just going direct. Mitchell stopped chasing one of the long balls but then suddenly decided he might as well, which resulted in the penalty

Was willing Hendo to score ahead of his birthday and nearly grabbed at least one, after Jim's timely subs brought on a whole new forward line and pleased to see Burger grab the fourth to really cement our superiority. Feeling much more positive after that

Just as an aside: four students from Manchester University came and sat next to where i was in the second half. We got chatting and they were on a tour of football grounds near Manchester. They really enjoyed it; i told them they should come again...

Again, happy to be corrected, but wasn't it also a stipulation by the Ogdens that Simon Gauge should retain his shareholding as part of their takeover deal?

If they'd bought him out, he'd no longer be the cause of discontent, and perhaps Jamie Sarsfield would still be on the board as a huge asset

My understanding is that the Ogdens wanted someone to act as a co-chair since they couldn't take up the reins on a day-to-day basis, so it's understandable why Gauge now finds himself doing that, but at that point they'd have had little knowledge of how Gauge's lack of experience and poor relationship with fans might impact the club. Perhaps they even had his version of what the fanbase was like (yes, there were idiots who put him in a position where he'd had reason to think that, but that's just a small minority)

We're now around nine months on. I wonder if the Ogden view has changed? If not, shareholders have every right to challenge that narrative
