He can by reverting Jimmy to RB and being a little more pragmatic so we're at least difficult to beat.

What you don't do when you have an average squad including a clutch of new signings that "have NOT improved last season's starting eleven" is ask them to start playing out from the back.

It's the Championship and we're not Man City.

What's interesting is he prefers playing as an number 8 but previous clubs tended to utilise him as a 10. Either way, he's definitely not a DM, and the system doesn't suit him or some of his teammates.

If the players aren't capable of executing the tactics, then the tactics are wrong.

What Dunne lacks in pace he makes up in height, physicality and championship nous.

In any event, I did say "Either revert Dunne to RB or give Ashby a go." You've conveniently ignored the Ashby part of that sentence.

Yep, it's a sad indictment on the recruitment (Nardi aside) that we need those players back fast. Last season we were very lucky with injuries but with Ben pretty much gone will we be so lucky this?

We've too many nice midfielders that you could take home to your mum. We lack combative midfielders who can impose themselves on games through grit and determination as well as guile.

I think constructive criticism is merited because he's pandering to his footballing philosophy in a division that's very unforgiving. He needs to revert to the more pragmatic style that was yielding results last season before we get sucked into yet another relegation scrap.

This head injury rule is pathetic. He heads the ball, goes down, wastes 5 minutes and then the ref restarts with a drop ball 15 yards further back from where we had possession.
