Sadly there is an element of truth in this . There is a guy on one social media platform who is bringing a banner in to protest and he’s being shot down in flames by many.

Yep agree with this.
I know some say that those days were bad because of the hooliganism but I’d have them back any day of the week for many reasons . I didn’t have anything to do with organising the protests against Branfoot but I remember getting involved in the chanting and protests in the stands. There were banners against Branfoot, I suspect it was Nick and Clive who organised it. sadly I can’t see this happening today with our younger element today.
Football just meant so much more to fans in those days ,there were more songs and more fans joined in which created better atmospheres due to standing and stadiums (not bowls )with ends which had roofs which were low down and close to the fans. Everyone seemed more up for it.
The main difference is you knew you could compete with anyone in those days and turn the big boys over and we often did. Nowadays you know you haven’t much of a chance with the money flying about to enable the bigger clubs to buy whoever they want. Football has become too predictable and tedious. The board will take notice if they see people protesting against the manager whilst at the moment they are being given an easy ride there’s a few boos at the end and that’s it everyone goes home and then next game sing a bit but not much and then go home again.
We’re all hurting grumps but many of us are in our 60’s even older, been there done that so to speak. The modern football fans today just aren’t that bothered, it’s so different from the 70’s and 80’s. Many Fans today just want to take photos and sit in silence. [Post edited 7 Dec 21:02]

Boycott the cup game v Liverpool. I’m not going in protest , even if you’ve got a ticket just don’t go .
The people above won’t like seeing a half empty stadium. It’s the only way they will take any notice.
A good proportion of our goals against us are errors from us. It’s just plain stupid to carry on like this. |

It was for convenience tbh. Our hotel was 100 yards from the train station and spoons just down the road . I’ve had a few in the Laines before and I did suggest to go there but others wanted to stay put. |

2. Agree, We Stayed overnight quite a few Saints fans in our hotel. had a great night Friday with no stress due to not having to rush and a few beers in hotel bar before retiring .
5. The Atmosphere was good thanks to the saints fans . Brighton were quiet as mice. They probably expected to turn up and win. [Post edited 2 Dec 4:38]

Yes there is definite improvement and the players are behind the manager there’s no doubt about that. We have been unlucky with VAR last two games. We also had excellent away support at Brighton and more songs are coming through, let’s not knock this.
Chelsea is a problem with all the suspensions but if we keep battling and reduce the tippy tappy Shyte we have a chance . We can get something from Fulham , Palace and West Ham games. |

Yep train early Friday , meeting my son who is at Brighton uni. beers all day relax, enjoy ,get pissed whatever the result stay overnight back Saturday morning. Simple.

Hope you’re ok Reggae. I suffered a cardiac arrest after a game at St Mary’s 6 years ago and two strangers gave me CPR and saved my life. I was also given shock therapy in the ambulance twice and I have a stent fitted in my heart. I certainly see life differently now . I wish you a speedy recovery . |

He will be something special this kid . Everyone’s raving about him. He reminds me of Le Tiss ffs he went on a mazy run and no one could stop him and his close control is brilliant . Apart from him it was pretty dull tbh . Yes I’ve had a few ffs 🍺🍺🍺

Blame the owners for keeping him in his position. They’re the ones taking the piss out of everyone.
Today’s game proved we can compete if we play properly.However The first goal against us was a result of yet another terrible error once again . They said on sky saints have conceded 7 goals this season due to errors at the back. That’s Martins fault but the owners still want him here so nothing will change whilst he is here . The only way to get the message across is don’t go to the cup game. They’ve already got your season ticket money not your cup money. |

You have to question what ambition the owners have. As you say lose heavily and that has to be it surely ? If this happens they would have to change it to give us any chance of survival ,if they don’t then to me it’s saying they are planning for the championship which makes no sense whatsoever.
Even now I can’t see 3 teams that will finish below us . |

As usual you completely miss the point. Today’s game is completely different with the money involved. Answer the question how would you get on today in the premier league ? The fact is you’ve been so irrelevant the last 50 odd years and you had to cheat to win something funny how you completely ignore that. Anyone can cheat to win ask Man City
