It’s not a valid point because there are a number of dev squad players in the first team photo. Talla Morgan Tuck Bennie Lloyd Salomon And there is no chance Kolli is not in that elite group, he leads that peer group. It’s a contract issue that is preventing selection. [Post edited 31 Oct 20:48]

As for salty? Would you like some chips with that? If you follow the thread a certain Ned Kennedys is saying one is “pushing an agenda and with a conspiracy theory” - if that isn’t antagonistic I don’t know what is. A typical response from day one. [Post edited 31 Oct 0:23]

Genuinely amazed at the level of “look the other way” tribe we’ve got going on here - fortunately only seems to be a handful. It’s far from the general consensus, as shown by that Nourry post that racked up thousands of views and a lot of comments. But seems we are living in some other world from you? We are 3 points off the relegation zone, the season so far has been a complete disaster, and we’ve spent money…. bags of it, for the first time in years. And yet, nope, it’s a case of all is well. Honestly, the mind boggles. There are also reputable posters on this message board - who are far from in the business of making things up. Who then get labelled as some kind of twitter ITK. Anyway, believe what you want to believe it’s entirely your prerogative. |

You keep banging on about this and it’s really rather odd. It’s entirely normal to discuss what is going on because we are in the bottom 3 and have spent 6m and currently heading to league 1. I see you did not comment on your own take as highlighted prior, which of course, made no sense whatsoever. There are also a number of people saying the same things behind the scenes that you insist - almost entirely on your lonesome - that none of this is true. So much so, that I’m still wondering if you are indeed the burner account of Mr Nourry. |

“If we were performing on the pitch as most of us expected after what we achieved since marti took over them the mood would be different”. No sh1t, Sherlock! News flash. We are not performing. Hence the questions; the analysis, the opinions of what is going wrong or has gone wrong. |

Less than honest comms is a product of less than honest individuals. The two typically go hand in hand in life. And as the saying goes, every lie is a debt to the truth that eventually must be paid. |

Sorry, but this is very naive. Marti would have him in the team, but Nourry says no. |

We are sitting bottom of the league and our transfer strategy this summer has been nothing short of shocking. The first season in many a season where we actually had the luxury of spending money again. And we go and spunk 6m on absolute dross. The key decisions that Nourry needed to get right, he got wrong. Not to mention how fans - paying customers - are now treated as second class citizens and allowed to know precisely nothing anymore. Yet you appear to be Nourrys biggest defendant, and down vote every single Nourry post of mine. It’s as if you have some kind of personal interest, which is now becoming more than a little bit odd. Are you actually Mr Nourry? [Post edited 22 Oct 8:21]

That is true. But how do you know Belk did not suggest other players and was over-ruled? |
| Forum Reply | Is this on Nourry? at 22:36 21 Oct 2024
I don’t disagree that Belk has been here a while, and transfers have largely been hit and miss. But almost all the direction on transfer strategy is driven by the DOF, formerly Les, now Nourry. The direction and decision to; - Shift from UK markets (Ireland, Scotland, England, league 1, 2, and premier league 2) and shop in European markets only - Bring in all 10 x new players with no championship experience between them - Identify players through data and statistics Is entirely driven by Nourry. He set the above transfer strategy, and Belk executed. The DOF is also the one who is signing off on 5-year contracts for Madsen, to the tune of multiple millions in transfer fee. And low-balling youngsters without any real regard for their talent and future worth. So, I’m struggling a bit with Belks true role in all of this. But one of two things will happen, he will be thrown under the bus by Nourry. And/or Nourry will separate his role into CEO and DOF, with a new hire, claiming it was all part of the plan. |

The thing is, Nourry and his pal at Retexo were not “football consultants”, but “recruitment consultants for backroom staff”. There is a very big difference. Same as there is a major difference between a management consultant and a recruitment consultant in traditional businesses. Completely different skillsets and expertise. Retexo was in fact started as a specialist recruitment consultancy for backroom staff; namely Heads of Performance, Heads of Fitness. From there, the marketing was spun (fair play) towards a full service football audit consultancy…. Best practices in football operations, football strategy, player recruitment, academy structures, and more. Plus chuck in AI and analytics for fun, because you can. And QPR bought that hook line and sinker. And we are where we are. |

“Cifuentes went on every podcast going, before he got here and had his press privileges revoked, about his Cruyffian ideals and 4-3-3 formation. That requires ball playing midfielders who can take the ball on the turn and play it. We’ve seen none of that in this team, these new signings, and certainly this midfield.” If anyone needed any further insight regarding what is going on behind the scenes, and who is truly calling all the shots regarding squad composition, transfer strategy, and actual signings, then they should re-read that a few times and let that sink in. |

One was a penalty. And the other a tap in. I’m interested in his all round game as a CM. The engine room of any side. Can he tackle? Does he come and get the ball and get us playing? Does he jump for headers? Does he understand how to position himself as a CM? Does he have any kind of physicality whatsoever? Does he press? Does he have energy? He does absolutely none of this. Madsen the friendly Ghost. |

Because recruitment reports into the DOF, who is Nourry, who has final sign off on players in and out so the buck stops with the DOF. And more importantly the DOF sets the transfer strategy; - player markets to focus on i.e. european leagues - what age to buy e.g. u24 - whether different aged players are required for squad balance or not e.g. 18, 24, 29, 31 - whether players need championship experience or not - judgement calls on wether players will settle or not, whether they have the right personality or not - and many more The DOF is also responsible for setting/agreeing wages, length of contracts, and transfer fees. And none of these categories look rosy right now. In fact, our transfer strategy looks like it was put together by someone who doesn’t understand the championship. |

Well, Lyndon Dykes, Chris Willock and Issac Hayden, were three key players for QPR despite splitting opinion with some. Dykes was good for 10 goals a season. Willock was premier league quality in my eyes, but injury prone, and Hayden the same. So there is a lot of championship quality that was allowed out of the door, and was simply nowhere near adequately replaced, thereby making us significantly weaker. Rule #1 in football, if you happen to land upon the ever elusive winning squad, and all its balance, never change it. |
| Forum Reply | Is this on Nourry? at 23:57 19 Oct 2024
It’s on Nourry, because he is the DOF, and he is responsible for assembling the squad. And he’s managed to make one bad decision after another. You have a team that was in play off form for the second half of last season, and you, foolishly, decide to rip that up and start again. Then, you decide to spunk a cool £6m on random data-driven signings, from bang average European leagues, because that seems trendy. (Even though we did that, and failed, 10 years ago, but he can’t remember that). To top it off, you finally decide that, despite signing 10 players, none of those need to have championship experience, flooding the squad with complete unknowns. You don’t see the risk there, because you have no idea what is required to compete at championship level. And in fact, you have no idea about being a CEO, Director of Football, or frankly anything else in football. And that’s the massive elephant in the room here. |

Madsen has been totally anonymous in pretty much every game he’s played this season. A few touches and flicks here and there. That’s it. He’s got nothing you need to be a CM at this level - in no world is he an 8. Definitely not a 6. As for being a number 10 that’s equally laughable. You play Madsen, you are virtually playing with 10 men as he’s that much of a problem. It’s been obvious from game 1. As for the extortionate price tag and 5 year contract, he’ll be 29 when that ends. Millions down the drain, just like that. Unbelievable. |

Lol. I am far from the only one if you are following the topic closely, which you evidently are. Almost too closely I might add. So, one could argue you have an uncanny backing for the man, for some reason |
