Also worth noting on JCS that, if we don’t sell him this summer, next transfer window (ie Jan) he’ll have only 18 months left on his contract. So even if he does keep up current fitness/form through the first half of next season, this window is likely to be his highest transfer value given contract situation. |

Agree in terms of quality of player however players’ contracts generally contain a huge wage uplift for promotion. Probably pushes those players out of our reach unless we take them on loan, which leads to the usual issues with dead money etc etc |

Brilliant player and great news for our country that he’s back. Will be at the Euros in the summer [Post edited 21 Jan 14:26]

IMO Chair is a good championship player - nothing more, nothing less. That makes him a significant upgrade on what we have in the team atm. |

So happy for all of you that went, you deserved that. Absolutely loved hearing you all singing Jingle Bells on the TV The Club needs the real die hards like you, hopefully days like yesterday make it all worthwhile Have a great Christmas one and all |

Thought the biggest issue for the midfield was how slow Dickie and Balogun were at moving the ball in to them. Every time they were on the ball they were taking 2 or 3 touches, labouring, before passing in to midfield. Instead of one touch and wrap it in to midifielders on the turn. Their labouring meant WBA were back in shape long before the midfielders got on the ball and everything became pedestrian as WBA held their shape. Might be nonsense but that’s how I saw it |

I have to agree with him. I was very disappointed we were time wasting right from the very first minute *(…..whilst taking nothing away from the team for what was a magnificent result) Something needs to happen with this time wasting though - the championship is becoming a pretty unbearable watch - I can’t recall a recent champ game I’ve watched where one team wasn’t engaging in all this sh^t |

If I was a WBA fan I'd be asking serious questions about them letting him join us |

Very safe watching football in Brazil - it’s not like some other countries in that their ‘ultras’ are just very loud rather than violent at all. Wouldn’t recommend buying in advance you will pay a fortune. Speak to your hotel when you’re out there, they will advise best place to get tickets. If you want to get to/from ground as well as match ticket for peace of mind, they will also be able to advise (most local 3rd parties include hotel pick-up/drop off). Tickets easy to get, we were able to get tickets to see Flamengo win the title, their return to the Maracana after winning the Copa Libertadores a few days earlier. If you are going to do a few cities, again I’d recommend just booking your own internal flights/hotels/tickets rather than an organised tour through 3rd sorry companies. Very jealous!! |

It’s quite rare to find decent home atmospheres tbh. Aside from the odd occasion, away fans certainly don’t leave Loftus Rd thinking ‘wow, what an atmosphere’ |

It was so refreshing watching that yesterday. Found it strangely emotional at the end, you could see how much it meant to the manager and chairman who were both trying to keep their emotions in but absolutely bursting with pride. A lovely watch and restored a little faith in modern-day football |

Not think McCann did a good job at Hull, Clive? Looking from afar it looked like a v good job especially considering the whole situation at the Club, which you’ve written extensively about in recent match previews v Hull. Rarely clubs run like this get back up to the Championship at first attempt and (look as though they would) stay up.. |

You'd assume with Marshall that it will be very cheap for us. Derby so desperate to get him off the books they would likely accept a deal where they keep paying a portion of his wages for the rest of the season, even if it's a permanent rather than a loan. |
| Forum Reply | George Thomas and Macauley Bonne - keep or move on ?? at 14:38 7 Jan 2022
I think we should look to loan out Thomas if possible. I'm not sure we can afford to lose another body, and Thomas can play a number of positions but I feel he desperately needs a run of games somewhere and hope for his sake he gets that and is able to remain fit |

So happy for the loyal away following (of which I’m not one btw!) who have been to/through all the sh*t over the years |
| Forum Reply | A few thoughts on last night at 12:28 15 Sep 2021
Hard to disagree with any of that. Really brilliant start to the season, and last night was another great game to watch. But point 4 especially needs addressing. Clive mentioned in the preview about missing Field - we've somehow got to find a way of being a little bit tighter in terms of conceding goals, whilst not losing nay of our attacking threat. Easier said than done mind! |
