Yeah, they've (UK ISP's) have been instructed to start blocking sites already. There used to be one called ProjectFreeTV which was awesome but that's no more. Also 1Channel has gone too.Saying that mind, FirstRowSports got shutdown and 2 days later reappeared with a new name. In fact 3 new names. It took 6 months for the court injunction to be made and 48 hours to piss all over it.

ISP's already block most of the add ons. However for a small annual fee, a VPN will bypass the block and allow you to access them all.

Is that for everyone or just pubs etc?

Search for private internet access.com. I paid £24 for twelve months. Easy to set up, set your location to one of the USA regions. This makes the ISP think you are abroad and doesn't block the sites. It's also completely anonymous and so you can't be traced.

Is that a DNS changer or true VPN though. Quite different things. £2 a month for a reliable VPN is very good though ... might have a look.

The legality question's an interesting one. The Rhyd's got done for using a perfectly legally acquired service but, per the judgement, illegally broadcast it. That would seem to imply that individual buyers who have a legit foreign sub are OK as are not rebroadcasting, however you'd assume anyone accessing a stream is breaking the same law they'd be breaking if it was Sky broadcasting it.

To be honest, the way the whole IP debate is going now I think it's just good sense to access via VPN when accessing anything remotely questionable these days.

We'll i'd have thought Sky etc. will be looking to clamp down on every one who is taking part in this illegal act ,i know they've already started on pubs so i suppose it's just a matter of time that Joe public gets it

VPN and very reliable. Take a look at their website, I've been really impressed. They don't keep records of users and can't hand over details even if there is a court order. It has received some excellent reviews online and VPNs are legal of course.

Good stuff. Cheers for info. Think I'll stick with Overplay for now as has a wider range of services and countries but definitely looking into when it comes to renew. This one looks perfect if just want something discreet in North America though.

1channel is still out there. But, it is called primewire.ag these days. That web address is blocked by most ISPs. However, I can access it via a proxy web-site which runs a script. In other words, I access my own web site, say www.oldgrey.com (thats not the real name btw) which is not blocked. Within the web site it connects to 1channel or whoever via a script rather than directly. The ISP cannot see that. It's the same principle that allows people to access sites like PirateBay. In fact the script i referred to is an amended version of TPB one. Check the XBMCHUB forum for advice on how to set up a proxy or see here:

I have used this site for 2 years, costs £5 per month but its never down and no adverts and full english commentary.

Also has sky sports and bt sports in full hd for streaming.

i connect to my tv or my apple tv for full 50" streaming of games.

http://gonna.mobi/amember/aff/go/superswans1977

my apple tv is also hacked so i get all the films, but games are more difficult on there currently.

For Linux based solutions the best one - by a mile - is Apple TV (gen1) silver with a Broadcom HD decoder card in place of the wifi mini PCIe and then run CrystalBuntu - again this solution is recommended (and developed on) by some of the XBMC core team.

http://www.crystalbuntu.com/

If you are buying an Android based XBMC solution the Ouya is the only way to go. It's got by far the most raw power of any Android STB/HTPC and is officially supported by XBMC. Keep in mind that XBMC was made to be controlled with a game controller and it's still the best way to control XBMC once you get used to it.

https://www.ouya.tv/

If you are considering buying a solution keep in mind that the CrystalBuntu is super easy to do with a nice detailed step by step - if you still want to buy a solution then do NOT overpay - if it's more than an Ouya or a used Apple TV (silver model) + broadcom card then you are being ripped off.

Every other solution just aren't as good as those two but if you do want to roll your own then go x86 based with SSD.

I am not having much success with the football sites. Football replays, for example, I select the Swans Stoke game, select 720 (on my laptop) - it says working and nothing happens :(
