Give it up Jim. That pair go back a long, long way. That was no chance encounter, the history and personalities of the ANC and ZANU are so interwoven as to be practically the same movement. Their key cadres used to be sent to Chirimuski and Pyongyeng for ideological and explosives training. Then they'd come back and put it into malign practice.
Not quite the same thing as HM performing her constitutional duties, having to practice a forced civility which no doubt made her sick to the pit of her stomach.
I once did a course with some ex spook who used to be part of a flight crew for some Sheik or other, can't remember the detail. They used to fly around the world in this plane with gold trim. One of their flights was to get Saddam Hussein to S.A. where he was to be a guest of Nelson Mandela for a couple of weeks. There is no one this guy hadn't shaken hands with on that plane, Gadafi, Bin Laden and plenty of others I'd never heard of. Judging by the amount of semtex, grenades and high calibre weaponry that ended up on my desk I have no reason to doubt a word he said.

A surreal end to a surreal thread. The highlight surely being the post "those who say Mandela WAS a terrorist are white-supremacists" or similar.
Also using the fact that black South Africans are more likely to be murdered than White South Africans as a rebuttal to claims of wholesale anti-white racism utterly proves the old saying about statistics.
The orthodox are always orthodox, regardless of the orthodoxy.

Personally,I think history will remember Mandela as a good man.the entire world seems to agree on this, otherwise there would not have been such support for him by the global community on honouring him.
Yes,we cannot deny some atrocious terrorist acts were carried out against the apartheid regime and mistakes were made. But as the saying goes you cannot make an omelette without breaking some eggs.
The transition from an oppressive regime to democracy and equal rights is never easy.
Remember,it only happened twenty years ago so economically and politically South Africa still has a long way to go....probably at least another generation or two before real stability takes place.
The point is,the country is on the right track and a much better place for all South Africans... All thanks to the vision of Mandela and the last regime prime minister F.W. De Klerk who knew the time had come for change.

Amen to the above. Lets now forget that had it not been for Mandela the white man would have been butchered out of sight. You cannot simply deny basic human rights and expect people to take it for ever.
It really does seem we have those who believe the African both was better off under the White man .
Still, the World might well be strong and some posters on this board correct in the final analysis.

Like I said earlier in the thread, I hope his legacy is reconciliation. That said, such was his presence, even on his death bed, that now he is gone I have no doubt that that country is about to descend in to total chaos. It's half way there already.

Hmm. No one actually said that only white supremacists think Mandela was a terrorist, but I'm not surprised that you are one of the ones who chose to interpret it in that way.
