Bands you change your mind about 08:40 - Nov 8 with 2380 viewsGretsch

I have always thought I had quite an eclectic taste in music, The Stones are my main men, but also anything from Eminem to the Beatles, from the Streets to Shirley Bassey, the Rat pack etc.

But I could never get my head around Pink Floyd post Syd Barratt, must be the only person who thought Dark Side ... was aload of crap. , but last night watched the "making of wish you were here", what a band and what a story, not just concentrating on the band, but the album designers, photographers, etc. well worth a watch.

Out to buy or download some Floyd later on I think. Anyone you really changed your minds about.

Buckingham is a genius. Listen to his solo work.#

The girls had great voices and they are tight .
THEY WERE BRILLIANT IN Manchester recently

I really like Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac but never really took to the American version even though they have a good number of great songs. I think it's because I saw Buckingham taking lead on Green Manalishi and it just didn't work. The guy is way to slick and it felt sacrilegious in some way.

Quality doc on Peter Green.

Liked the "new" Mac but have gotten into the Green era as time goes by. A lot of the newer stuff is a little too "country" for me but there's some gold there.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

That is a nice doc, I thought they were quite affectionate looking back.

I'm not fussed about his 12 bar stuff but I genuinely believe he was a bit of a genius - Man Of The World is a proper tear jerker. American Mac has some great songs, mostly on Rumours but the two bands are only distantly related.

As an aside, country is pretty much the only genre I can't dig, makes me want to puke.

Jeremy Spencer is surprisingly normal for someone who's spent the last 40 years in a cult. Nice to see him, Fleetwood and McVie are still friendly.
