Jonjo Shelvey hero or villain? 20:57 - Sep 16 with 26819 views | Lord_Bony | Considering his young age needs a bit more experience to become a great asset for us. Still some sloppy play that needs sorting out. Got a habit of hoofing it blindly

Jonjo Shelvey hero or villain? on 11:41 - Sep 18 with 1369 views | headcleaner | If shelvey can cut the Hollywood ball every pass out of his game and was a little more measured then he would be top notch. but, his passing is the most wayward we've seen for a long time. He doesn't currently compliment our midfield like JDG or Canas do and I think when he plays were more susceptible to conceding unforced errors that result in goals. He must have given away the ball more than the rest of our midfield on Monday put together which isn't good considering our game is built on keeping the ball. He obviously has potential and likes to attack which are all positives but he deffo needs someone to try and drum into him that a simple 5 yd pass is OK and he doesn't have to go for the spectacular all the time. In his defense he is young and like BR said he has all the tools. So its just a case of when to use a specific tool. At the moment i find him very frustrating to watch bu ttime is on his side.
Jonjo Shelvey hero or villain? on 14:34 - Sep 18 with 1259 views | BackHeel | he's only young, I must say Laudrup is doing a good job of nurturing his confidence, many managers would have taken him off at halftime against Liverpool

Two mistakes that he made were ruthlessly punished, and to be honest the second should have been stopped anyway, there were plenty of players to cover. Laudrup handled the situation brilliantly, giving him a psychological masterclass which JJS carried with him onto the field and hardly put a foot wrong in the second half. And his assist for Michu was like looking at Darren Pratley in his finest pomp. Nice to see Michu calling JJS to celebrate with him, team spirit is a great plus for us which we'll need with so many games to play this season. As for JJS, this game will definitely be a major turning point for him, possibly even career defining. Great character shown by him.
