So it is all well and good questioning our starting line-up against United in midfield.
It felt as if they were setting up for an away game to one of the top 4.

But how do you think our midfield will line up against the likes of Palace, the scum and hull?

Still keep Leon and Canas? Or opt for John Jo to sit deep and allow JDG/ Michu/Pozeulo to sit behind Bony?

Frankly, I wouldnt like to guess!

Sorry if this sounds similar to the thread about Leon and Canas!

If De Guzman wasnt injured and Bony hadn't been away on international duty so soon before the game, then I don't think Britton and Canas would have played together. Having said that, apart from a crazy few minutes where we conceded the goals, I thought they were both playing good games, and Laudrup wouldn't have changed it but for the fact we had to chase the 2 goals back.

Since the turn of the year there have been small signs that Leon is starting to struggle. Passes starting to go astray etc.
On the evidence of Sat, I'd say there is only room for one out of Canas or Leon, and (RIGHT NOW) Id have to say Canas , for me.

It'll be JJS, Leon or Canas, Michu, Pablo and Routs

I'd go with Leon because JJS can spread the ball from deep as he showed against Malmo. He was too far forward on Saturday as a result of Canas and Britton both playing.

Exactly my thoughts, felt as though he was pushed up which didnt allow him to attempt to dictate the pace.

Against mid-table teams I would like to see shelvey and canas, with michu sitting infront. I also feel there will be a fair bit of rotation between Pablo and Dyer, to me, routledge is still nailed on as a starting winger.

I guess it does just show the strength we have in depth to see how we have so many different combinations that people believe to be the right one!

I wouldn't say routledge was a nailed on starter, far from it. Of the 3, he was by far the worst Saturday, and was very poor against malmo away. He needs to up his game. Dyer and Hernandez for me when fit.

Jonjo doesn't work as AM. We saw that at Liverpool. Michu doesn't work as CF. We saw that in the second half of last season. So on paper the starting line up for United was not a winning formula.
