Jordi Amat at £2.5M represents much better value in my book. I wouldn't be surprised if ML hadn't inquired about Caulker at some point since the end of last season given the possibility that Ash might go but the idea of paying £9M for a player far from being the finished article was soon put to bed. I think he'll do very well for them, was great for us in our first season but did have the benefit of playing next to Ash, while Cardiff don't have anyone of that quality. Definitely think £9m is too much for him though, especially since Chico cost us £2m and I wouldn't swap them. |  | | |
