Thought this had been going on for a while and appeared on several threads to mixed reactions.
The short summary was either :

Questions over the advisability of signing someone who had been in carnal relations with an alleged drug dealing slopshot bucket and showed all of the graceless excess typical of overpaid young football mercenaries.

Young (at least by our standards) solid defender with bags of experience including at the higher level.

Must admit I am of the more doubting variety in this, suspect there is actually quite a lot of better young players available for less and think our own Mr Harriman might be a better option.
