Bit of a contrast to the Bolton game last season!

Just bought a ticket on viagogo as I needed an extra just for this game. Fees on top of ticket price came in at about £7. To be honest most of the ticket prices on there seem to be face value plus the fee which seems pretty good. Was expecting horrendous profiteering.

You may see profiteering for the Chelsea game.
I will be putting my seat in V block for the West Ham game up for face value as I will be in Seattle.
May be an idea to have a tickets offered & wanted stickied on the forum?

Health and safety? Costs (it was scaffolding - presumably rented)? Who knows? - it seems there's no hard and fast policy on the allocation at present other than if an away team offers to pay in full for the 3k then take it - until such point the club can be sure there is enough home support to merit keeping the lower tier for home supporters, which seems reasonable to me based on the home attendances last season.

So the club thinks we can't sell 16,700 tickets to QPR fans but they're preparing to build a 45,000 seat stadium?

The PL rule states the away team must be offered 3,000 seats or 10% of capacity if the stadium hold less than 30,000. Within this there is flexibility for issues with segregation. The School Upper holds just over 1,700 - enough to satisfy the PL criteria.

By the end of last season they were selling the lower tier to QPR fans in its entirety. The fact that we are so determined to give visiting teams 17% of our capacity is ridiculous.

Exactly...like Man Utd giving us 12,500 for Old Trafford.

I believe it's technically illegal to sell a ticket for more than face value.

With the seller fees, a seller would have to seel at higher than face value to get the full value back. i.e a 30 quid ticket has about 4 or 5 quids worth of fees so if they are listed at FV the seller is making a loss.

I think he means there will be lots of people pretending to have kids and taking up two seats. Lots of selfish people who had the choice to move seats but instead have invented a make believe under 8. Still as long as they are happy.

Exactley what I meant.

I know of three people in the lower loft who have bought free season tkts for under 8's who have absolutely no intention of bringing these kids.

One bloke, who is on the supporters club committee borrowed his mates daughters birth cirtificate just so he and his grown up son wouldn't have to give up their seats.

How many others have done this I wonder?

As Glous says, selfish!

My under 8 ticket gets used by my under 8 for weekend and mid week games, don't think he would be to impressed if I let aunt nelly use it for some games.

Can't really blame the board for maximising the attendance (revenue) given their investment. Segregating the school = lower overall attendance.

No it doesn't. The last few home games of the season saw us use the whole of the lower tier for QPR fans.

Presumably that's possible for games where the away team don't want or need the whole upper tier and the front of the upper can be cordoned off. Swansea (Monday on sky) and Stoke (nothing to play for) are quite rare occasions where the away side won't want at least 1800.

There's plenty there now. sensible prices too. Just wish you had to put member number in or something as I can see plenty of non-Rangers buying tickets this way.
