I see that RM has named 6 brilliant Saints performances from the Chelsea game that we lost 5-1 and had his captain red carded. This is just ludicrous, and shows the very low standards being applied to our football. He is just wrong, wrong, wrong for this club. |  |

You are right about his low standards. It seems that all he asks of them is to make short passes sideways and backwards in their own half. I see him standing on the touchline applauding short passes in our own penalty area, but not attacking runs or long forward passes. There appears to be no tactical organisation and our defending is shambolic. Even the basics, like how to defend corners, don't seem to be covered.
His only other expectation is that our players run themselves into the ground in the first 20 minutes of games, whereas proper managers know that it's the final 20 minutes when most games are won or lost. But, it gives Martin the opportunity to boast in his post-match interviews about how we looked the better team early on. He doesn't seem to be aware that's because the opposition let us so they can destroy our tired team later. [Post edited 5 Dec 10:23]
