Spot on. Another opportunity wasted. We totally lacked an attacking presence down the left by Southgateās insistence of playing two holding midfielders. Had we played either Gordon or Eze on the left and Bellingham ahead of Rice then we would have had a side with far greater balance and attacking prowess. Southgate has totally wasted this set of players. Needs to fall on his sword now. Need either Howe or Potter to take over and make the most of these players. Gave Spain far too much respect, and the biggest joke was that prior to the second goal he was looking to get Gallagher and Trippier on FFS. | |
