Lootin Town Scum 12:03 - Oct 16 with 9777 views | Northolt_Rs | I hear their OFFICIAL website celebrated Jimmy Dunne’s possible leg break injury with a very classy ‘Job Dunne’ post complete with a photo of the horrendous challenge. They’ve now taken this down - anybody got a screen grab of this? Beale needs to put this on the dressing room wall when we play them at LR. Oh and another idea….how about we give them 1,000 tickets like they gave us, rather than allowing a third of their home support to travel to the one away game most of them will attend all season?

Lootin Town Scum on 08:10 - Oct 17 by traininvain | Playing devils advocate, Dunne limped off the pitch and it didn’t look a serious injury at the time. Initially I thought he was maybe concussed as the ball hit him straight in face. Luton’s social media post was in bad taste and it shouldn’t have been done in the first place. But I would wager that they didn’t know the full extent of Dunne’s injury hence it was taken down once they found out that he might have broken his leg. Agree with Clive that more needs to be done to try and defuse the situation before someone else gets seriously hurt at one of these games. I know the rivalry runs deep but violence has no place at football in this day and age. |
TraininVain - I am with you here. I went Saturday and last season and to be fair Jimmy was dancing around last season when we won which really wound them up (we all loved it!) They remembered and seeing him get an OG would have made their day. Admin having a laugh not knowing it was a serious injury (I didnt think it was serious until reading stuff after the Luton post) popped that up, someone pointed out and was taken down quickly. Now if it was left up that would have been different. The fixture does seem to be getting more toxic each time we play. These added things dont help BUT some of our fans and what they sing are out of order and the racist Instgram post should NEVER happen. To be fair Nathan Jones came out midweek and talked about last seasons celebrating by us and played it down (he did do some very big fist pumps as he walked near the tunnel after the game to his fans though!!!!) They have been big games recently as both clubs in the mix, tight grounds, big atmosphere and recenty history, its going to be lively!! I thought the Police done very well Saturday keeping fans apart after the game. Only thing on the escort back the station was one of our fans lobbing a lit flare into Luton fans as they were held at a junction.

Dunne went off injured at the time so they knew it could of been serious. It's another wider issue with modern football and I don't know why official accounts seem to "banter" other clubs look at Forest before the Wolves games all it does is wind people up then the clubs wonder why players get abuse etc They're a scum club, always have been and always will be and Nathan Jones just epitomes them [Post edited 17 Oct 2022 9:27]

Lootin Town Scum on 13:14 - Oct 17 with 2067 views | DiggertheMole | If I recall correctly the "stanley knife" cup fixture saw multiple arrests which helped to justify their away fans ban but the vast majority of addresses cited for those arrested for possession of these weapons came from the Luton, Dunstable, Markyate, Stotfold, Harpenden areas - none of which locations are exactly famous for the high number of carpenters/electricians or carpet-layers residing there- nor indeed for large numbers of QPR fans!
Lootin Town Scum on 13:55 - Oct 17 with 1941 views | LongRanger | Their post was clearly referring to the OG, not the injury, but clearly the official websites/feeds also need to avoid opinion, but lets wind it in, if we beat them we love it, if we lose we dust off and go again, no need for all this ramping up off the pitch big man bollox.

https://www.lutontoday.co.uk/sport/football/luton-town/jones-reveals-luton-used- That's come out today as they are trying to soften it because our players and fans really should be rightly fuming They left out that article for example what they put in yesterday: "Jimmy Dunne was doing the conga down the left-hand touchline and (Stefan) Johansen was whooping like he was on Wheel of Fortune" Firstly there is nothing wrong at all with our players being happy and celebrating an important win at a crucial part of the season when we had been on a bad run. He was also moaning about our staff celebrating at the time. So he's got no point and he's a hypocrite because he takes it next level when he celebrates (on his knees on the pitch after their third goal Saturday) And I dont understand the self loathing nature of those who can't see the difference between an individual who our club have zero control over typing what they did and Luton's official club posting a message targeting one of our players who's gone off injured and they even choose the picture of him while he was being injured. It's completely out of order what they did. A club needs to carry themselves to a higher standard than that. It's not banter when someone is actually injured One d*ckhead writing stuff on Instragram we can't control and isn't comprable We should be wound up as a fan base and use that to add to the atmosphere and make it an even more difficult game for them when they come to our place for the next game Get one back for Dunne!! Not sure how you can say their post wasn’t relating to the injury when the picture they chose was the exact moment Dunne was being injured… [Post edited 17 Oct 2022 14:05]

...Also the moment the ball bounces off him into the net. Not defending it, shouldn't have been posted but don't think it was abou the tackle

Lootin Town Scum on 11:54 - Oct 18 with 1348 views | W7Ranger | There's been mentions of Dunne's "celebration" at KR last season. I'm pretty sure the reason behind that was the dog s abuse he was getting from a certain section of there fan base when he was fouled by Jerome (possibly), and there fans went for him, as if he'd dived or made a meal of it (he hadn't), or that it should have gone the other way. He was then taking a throw in near that same section of the the crowd and was getting untold verbals from the crowd. And I'm pretty sure THAT is the reason he celebrated the way he did last season. And it was directed mainly towards the Luton section of the crowd that had been giving it to him most of the game.

I lived in Stotfold for ten years. Nice but dull. Don't remember many Looton fans though.
