Factor influencing form drop. 15:01 - Mar 21 with 4007 views | wortonranger | I wonder Has Barbet been left out as he has been willing to commit to a new contract, as has happened before to others? At the same time Sanderson getting game time as there is already a provisional deal to bring him in for next season. And while on the subject, is he a wrong un? Made some awful blunders and didn’t seem too keen to get back to sort out. A bit of a flashy/ silky player? Hope I’m wrong, especially as he jay we’ll be part of next year’s squad.

Yep - thought I was the only one who heard that interview from Les! And as I said earlier club/players would be daft to offer/accept anything when we don't know what league we will be in. Repeating myself but drop Sanderson, play Barbet and we win? Not that simple is it - come on people - we hardly looked world beaters during Sanderson's 3 match 'holiday'

Factor influencing form drop. on 18:22 - Mar 21 with 3539 views | baz_qpr | Like any good episode of air crash investigation I think there are a number of things going on here. We've gone in a year from promotion form to relegation form. We've been on a downward trajectory for some time, even the January run was off the back of some lucky games. 1. Austin has not been right all season, clearly not fit head not in the game not being that leader we saw last year, he had things going on at home but he looks done 2. Andre Gray, moany bastard turned up unfit, not a team player new born baby in his house only now 6 months later (maybe baby is sleeping) does he look a player again, just in time for earning a new contract somewhere. 3. Johansson something not right fitness wise this year, has struggled for form all year, we miss him when he's not playing but when he's playing he's just not the same player who made that difference and ran games, has rarely dominated in midfield, maybe not helped with not being partnered with an enforcer at the start of the year and being asked to be the defensive player 4. Too many centre mid options and options elsewhere, too much chopping and changing we've gone from a small squad approach to Ranieri the Tinkerman and over thinking things constantly changing because its all about the squad even if it means playing people out of position, play your best players in their best positions as we did for 6 months 5. Dykes, been unfit since the Autumn, after Scotland flogging, when he plays he makes a difference and gives the 10's somewhere to play when he doesn't Gray is quite lazy, Austin. plays like a 40 a day smoker. 6. January transfer window - Absolute disaster. Old skool QPR signed a name rather than a player we need in a position we need, we all knew we needed pace and alternative attacking option we did not need a centre back when we had De Wijs, Kakay and Ball to step in. Yes we have a pace issue in the back 3 but generally speaking it was working no need to mess with it at all 7. Chair at Afcon, sat on the bench for a month has come back playing slow slow slow 4 touches before he does something, looks half the player he was before he went How do we fix it? Not sure we can but lets at least get back to what worked before, drop the loans, keep the back three in their normal places, Albert on wing, Wallace or mcallam on the other, field with Johanson in the middle Chair behind a front two or Chair and Amos behind a one [Post edited 21 Mar 2022 18:26]

I think the lack of any contract talks will unsettle players, even ones like Albert, because it is their living and they need to feel they have something in place. With Barbet I think the guy is fantastic but there has been a lot of talk that he wants to bring his kids up in France. To be honest given his value I think most supporters would be prepared to speak French just to keep him here. Wallace, it will depend on how his body holds up. He's been brilliant but from what I hear, he is struggling to get back to full match fitness. I think Albert would play for use of the club swivel chair and the gaffer's recipe for lemon meringue, but leaving it to the summer, where they could be out on their ear, and still, regardless of our relegation form in touch with the play-offs seems difficult for the players. That said, given our financial position, they are probably bound to doing it this way.

Waiting till the summer may have helped some players the difference between championship and premier league money is big so waiting till the summer suited everyone
Factor influencing form drop. on 22:37 - Mar 21 with 3132 views | Hoopsie | The turning point I reckon was after the reading game which we trounced them 4-0. Never at that time could you imagine we are heading towards a slid, in fact, it was very optimistic with a bunch of “can win” games in the fixtures ahead starting with the fa cup match against peterborough. We lost that and then barnsley, Cardiff, millwall etc and we arrived back with a deja but defeat to peterborough. When we won we did so ugly and with luck (Blackpool, Luton) and a late equaliser against hull at home (another can win game). Initially I thought it was a blip but after a succession of inexplicable formation, team selection, substitution in-game you get that feeling all is not well. Certainly by the players’ body language and demeanour on the pitch, we are witnessing a decline not a blip unfolding right before our eyes. No one factor can explain that downturn, the problems might be deeper? It is quite baffling that more than half the team could lose form suddenly. We were riding high after reading, there was so much optimism with a “easy” run of games in January and February despite the afcon, despite the small squad, despite those loans, as confidence seemed sky-high and was thinking what could go wrong? If we continue with this downward spiral, as in most clubs, it means change.

Factor influencing form drop. on 16:14 - Mar 22 with 2829 views | themodfather | what better motivation for a player awaiting a new contract than to knock your balls out of their sack, be in a play off window and maybe shine in a final at wembley with the world watching?? nah, pee it away with lame displays ....injuries really hurt us but we have been used to them, we hit the "wall" and didn't recover it seems, still time, still hope but hey ho

AFAIK Sanderson was offered a new contract by Wolves before joining us as they really rate him. Maybe struggling to adapt ATM?
