Deadline day thread 16:25 - Jan 25 with 80640 views | Northernr | May as well try and keep all this together for the next week. Demebele withdrawn from Peterborough squad ahead of possible Bournemouth move. V good against us. Further reduces the possibility of them pulling their fingers out and relegating bloody Reading.

Deadline day thread on 18:52 - Jan 31 with 4264 views | A40Bosh | I'm getting the feeling that we might not get any more over the line - especially if we are not going to break either transfer fee or wage budget. We are sat 4 in the table in Jan, a game in hand (as does Bournemouth) on Blackburn which if we won would have us sitting 2nd - all with the squad that we had in Sept bar an emergency goalie loan. Happy with what we have and if we continue to get these results and finished 4th and lost out in the playoff final then as far as I am concerned we have "achieved" this season based on realistic expectation year on year during the baker man's reign

Exactly this January is ordinarily a bit of a mental market with little value when it comes to perm deals Might get a decent loan or two but again if from a premier league club they can be costly too We might get a late loan in but I am happy that we are trying to stick to the principles that stood the club in good stead for so long rather than the Supermarket Sweep mentality we adopted at points in recent history that Bournemouth and Forest are trying to emulate
Deadline day thread on 19:22 - Jan 31 with 3702 views | Stainrod | If Parker can't get Bournemouth promoted on their budget now he will go down as one of the all time failed Championship managers. Obvs would love that second promoted team to be us but if not wold be nice if Blackburn pipped them to it.

Marshall was a permanent signing, signed a deal until the end of the season.

He won’t though will he, because Scott “Scotty” Parker is another like Lampard who always seem to have the press / pundits lining up to say what a good manager he is and how he’s a Proper Football Man. If he fails at Bournemouth despite the mahusive budget he’ll still walk into another job afterwards.

I agree with this ... although irrationally I'm thinking if it came down to offering £200,000 more for Paterson and he contributed with a handful of goals and assists to help us get to the promised land then it would be a drop in the ocean ...? Ultimately I think it is team spirit that has got us to 4th plus a handful of standout players. Apart from Willock, Chair, Dieng, perhaps Dickie, Moore I'm not sure we have the individual brilliance that other teams have but my god do we have a team and a manager that knows how to get the best out of them. It's been a superb season and I'd be ecstatic if we finished top 6.

Hang on, hang on, are you trying to tell me that Fernandes, Hoos, Ferdinand and Warburton between them haven't managed to ensure the club has got a train set? Unbelievable! Four of them, and they had just one job....

Not sure he is what we are after. Hopefully clickbait. Would take Freeman back if deal was right. Stoke City and Reading are working on a last-minute swap deal that would see Tom Ince and Liam Moore switch clubs, on loan. [Post edited 31 Jan 2022 20:07]
