Well Johnson will never be in jail for treason so tough luck. We won't be re-joining the EU any time soon either, possibly not in your lifetime, again, tough.
Stay rooted firmly in 2016 then, the rest of the world will laugh at people like you, living in the past because you cannot accept the present.
You will probably die as you live right now, stuck in the past and miserable for it. It's only a matter of time.

Lots of empty shelves in supermarkets lately.
Is that a supply thing or are retailers operating on the bare minimum skeleton staff? You go into these places and there’s usually just one poor sod trying to do the work of about ten people. There’s massive queues on the tills because they’re trying to force everyone through those self service bits. There never seems to be enough people anywhere in these shops.

You got that wrong again. GDP in the UK was 0.8% in the first three months (the 0.1% was the March figure) not like you to tell a lie is it. Official Irish government forecast for 2022 growth 4.8. Domestic growth quarter -0.8% Irish unemployment 6%
We are now 18 months into Brexit and after huge disruption to my business I can finally get a real picture, in financial terms, of just what a bad move Brexit it has been for my company and every other importer.

If only Killy had not listened to the remainers lies. They promised the UK economy would collapse, 3 million jobs lost. All yet to happen with UK Unemployment nearly half of the EU but still killy waits for any morsel of bad news to brighten his sad day.

Maybe the wine importer needs to look outside Europe, there's plenty of good wine outside the EU. Chile for example.
PS, I looked at growth, I saw 5.4 for Ireland and 3.6 for UK but Irelands is predicted to fall and ours is predicted to rise. Still though, 3.6 of ours is a lot more than 5.4 of theirs.

No need to buy overpriced EU wine plenty of better cheaper wines from South America, California, South Africa, Australia all with reduced tariffs since we left the EU.
Even British sparking wine is beating French champagne in international champagne awards.

Well that’s great news , really cheered me up this morning. It’s a pity my car doesn’t run on champagne.

Yes believe all the propaganda that Russia pumps out now you believe that the propaganda that an EU body publishes is true.
While everyone else knows that global shortages following the bounce back from the pandemic and the global energy crisis further exacerbated by Russian invasion of Ukraine is likely to cause most western economies problems.

You believe the propoganda that the Ukraine pumps out,
This is a separate issue to the pandemic.
The Centre for European Reform (CER) has modelled the economic performance of a UK that remained in the EU - using data from countries like the US, Germany, New Zealand, Norway and Australia - whose performance was similar to ours before Brexit.

No I believe the information being reported by the free press and media throughout the World. Many different sources and verified by independent bodies.
Nothing Russia media publishes is done without the authority of Russia and must be treated with caution as it cannot be independently verified. Not sure why you are now posting the Ukraine Russian War on this EU thread.

You started it by posting some nonsense about Russian propaganda. You don't seem to read posts very well.
Free press, ok, good luck with that

The stats I saw last night were suggesting that we (UK) are looking at 0 - 1.0 % eceomic growth over the next twelve months. The CBI have downgraded the UK growth forecast from 3% to 1% so broadly agreeing with the upper range.
The stats were suggesting that France and Italy were going to experience much more rapid growth. I will say a lot will hinge on confidence and fuel prices over the next few months.

It’s going to be a really tricky time - things won’t really bite till the winter.
We really need to look at providing help for those lowest paid. I don’t think minimum wage will be enough. It’s all very well having high employment figures but that doesn’t help if you’ve not enough money to live on.
Women and the young will be disproportionately affected again.

Possibly all well and good if you live in the uk and don’t travel that much.
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

The situation changes very quickly. Not just week to week or even day to day. What's happening in Ukraine is having a major effect, not that you'd think that by some people's posts.
Our government needs to do more, they need to cut VAT and green levies on fuel to get the price down, that could help a lot to start with. people are giving up jobs because by the time they buy fuel their hardly making any money. There was a carer on the news recently who went back to working in a call centre because of the price of petrol and her high mileage job.
