Luton Town v Swansea City Kenilworth David Pleat Stadium Kick off 3pm
Match Officials Whose Tony is that jacket ? Tony Harrington ( whose coat ) will be the referee for Swansea City’s Championship clash against Luton Town on Saturday (3pm). The Cleveland official took charge of the Swans five times last season, he oversaw wins over Nottingham Forest and Rotherham, as well as the away leg against Barnsley in the play-offs, plus defeats against Huddersfield and Birmingham. Jacket will be assisted by Mark Scholes and Craig Taylor, while Darren Drysdale is the fourth official. Mark is related to Paul Scholes, possibly.
New Covid rules mean you can’t slowly drive your car near the ground or talk to a variety of ladies with money in your hand. Just in case, you understand. Wear a mask.
Never trust a hippy.
This is a huge opportunity for Luton boss Nathan Jones to sound absolutely ridiculous again and bemoan about referees, missed opportunity, and his stupid accent.
Nick Owen said he was a Luton fan, then he said this "However, I have a significant number of other commitments, with both my primary employer, the BBC, and other organisations. All of these demand long travel and unpredictable schedules and consequently I feel that I am unable to dedicate the time and effort that I feel the role now deserves."
Seriously though, this could easily be a defining game for Russell Martin, the swans have lost only once in the previous seven meetings. Luton draw a lot of games, expect a 1-1 draw. In the last meeting the swans lived life dangerously but won 1-0 at Kenilworth Road.

I am utterly shocked that wasn't a red and to add insult he booked Manning. The ref needs to be fined for that decision. DEADFUL ( a bit like us today)
Manning kicked the ball away, deserves the yellow, but the hatter should have had a red.
3 goals of our own making!!!

I can only see us keeping the score down to 3 - 0 No pace on the bench. Cabango, Smith, Fulton and Piroe on go to 442 Off - Manning, Walsh, Grimes Laird

That's optimistic. If Luton went into half time 6-0 up, we could have few complaints.

Same here Max, gutted
We're being bullied, pressured and getting kicked to next week and we look gutless in response, where's our talisman and influential Captain today I wonder.
Its not fair to single anyone out on todays performance though in fairness, we've been absolutely appalling from 1 to 11.
This shape is awful. Even in the games where it has "worked" we've barely threatened to score. When it doesn't work we're exposed constantly. Naughton as the centre of the back three looks nice when we have 70% of the ball but turns out he has to defend in some games.

Well it wasn’t like he hoofed it into the stand was it? His back was to the player so straight red. He couldn’t even get out of the way in time. Definitely one for the authorities to look at after the game but if he gets a retrospective red it does us no favors in reality. One of the most surreal things I’ve seen go virtually unpunished in a game of football. Soft as sh*te penalty too.

The possession and passing is not what should be knocked at, its the silly mistakes today that should be called out here.
These silly mistakes need to be cut out.
Of course it should be, it’s creating nothing.
It’s easy to defend, predictable and plays into the oppositions hands. They can keep their shape very easily knowing we are just going to try and knock it around.
They can pressure us in dangerous positions and the ball gets turned over.
The insistence of possession is what is killing us, it’s stopping us from making more direct attacks and also keeping pressure in our defensive third.
Swansea Independent Poster of the Year 2021 and 2022.
Total utter shambles. All Martin can do is flail his arms like a petulant little kid.
No leadership from the side-lines, no tactical intervention no sign of subs which are desperately needed.
All style and absolutely no substance, whatsoever. He's winging it while some of our twp fans have blindly followed. They know who they are. They need to Learn to think for themselves, instead of always following the flock.

This.
First time in 3 matches a team has come out to play, and has instantly smashed our powderpuff tactics in one fell stroke. FFS this is schoolboy management at best.
Martin simply stands there., clueless how to respond. No nous, no leadership. Speechless.
